Oh that's bullsh*t.

It was bad enough when I found out that Silent Hill: Homecoming wasn't due to launch in Europe until November, but now it's become known that Konami's latest horror extravaganza won't be arriving until February 2009.

No reason has been given for the date slip, but the title will now be in almost direct competition with Capcom's Resident Evil 5, which is bloody ridiculous. Hopefully that doesn't mean the game is due for an even later release to avoid such a scenario, but at this rate, who knows?

I admit I wasn't keen on the way the title was looking, but after the glowing review from Colette, Dale and DMV, I was all for it. It'll be a while yet before this sorry Brit gets to enjoy his next trip to Silent Hill.

LOL, what else can possibly go wrong in Europe? Well... at least it's not banned... yet.

Protip: It's probably going to be released in 2009 because they have too much stuff to take out before the November release date.

Enjoy your neutered Silent Hill.

this move will lose konami a lot of cash to piracy.

as we all know, one pirated copy does not always equal one lost sale, but if the product is already available in another region, in english, then disgruntled would be buyers will not hesitate to steal this game.

WTF? It's not like you guys speak a different language. For what it's worth, the game is actually pretty good. I liken it to watching an American remake of a Japanese horror film. You know that the original creators probably would have done a better job, but it's still pretty damn fun.

If you own a PS3 can you not just import the American version?

Yet another scenario where owning a PS3 would have helped you.

Hopefully it'll be out on PC in the US sometime before that.

Guess I'll have to import the PS3 version... Region free saves the day. Too bad it'll have the US cover art.
