Silent Hill: Homecoming misses its PC release date photo

Don't you hate it when you make plans with someone for a good, ol' fashioned raping and they can't show up on time?

Silent Hill: Homecoming on PC is being exclusively sold through Steam and was scheduled to release on Tuesday. That was three days ago and the game has yet to surface. Blues News tracked down a post on the Steam forums from Mike Dunkle of Valve which simply states:

Silent Hill Homecoming for PC will not become available until later this month. Please stay tuned for more information.

That's the only information we really have about it. That's not going to stop me from making wild speculation, though. It's obvious that the server where the game can be downloaded from has somehow disappeared and is now looking out over Toluca Lake, praying someone will find it and bring it back home. Man, that thing is screwed.

The 360 version managed to escape the clutches of the vile town and is in stores now. Expect a Destructoid Review to come in the near future.

I wanted this game to be frightening. I hear it's not that scary though.

thanks for the update, i'd been wondering what happened to this.

i suppose it won't make much of an impact on the UK release date anyway.

I spent about 2 hours watching 5 people play this game last night; 2 people were giving tips on how to fight, 2 were reading a FAQ, and one was actually playing it. It was hilarious. Good times, good times.

The phrase "good, ol' fashioned raping" is not cool.

The game is good times. It's a Silent Hill so you know what to expect. It doesn't disappoint in that regard.

Its a fantastic game, much better than SH4 at least, sure your guy can defend himself but the monsters are just as powerful and agressive and it is scary, the game captured the looking over your should thing that all SH games did perfectly, Silent Hill has always been about misdirection and SH5 does not dissapoint.

Bah, why am I even typing this, everyone will just wait for the review and base their opinion solely on that without ever giving the game a shot, it is the sheep-toid way after all.

Reberk: Agreed, even regarding the context. I hate the way that element of SH2 has become fixated upon considering the title is an adult game targeted at adults.

@brainderailment's

Gameplay/storywise, the PS3 version is fantastic. However, I was hoping the graphics would "Wow" me a little more than they do.

Total agreement with what Gameboi said. Good looking game, but not really "next-gen" looking.
