Silent Hill HD, Downpour, Book of Memories all dated photo

Konami has announced release dates for all three Silent Hill games due out this year. The Silent Hill HD Collection is due March 6, Silent Hill: Downpour is slated for March 13 and Silent Hill: Book of Memories is coming March 27. Looks like March is going to be the scariest month of the year! Ooooh!

I'm still holding out hope for Downpour. I didn't like what I played at E3, but I am willing to chalk it up to a bad demo. Book of Memories hasn't impressed anybody so far, with its weird focus on top-down multiplayer. For me, the most promising title is the HD Collection, only because I already know the games are good.

That's kind of sad. All I want is for this series to be brilliant again.

In any case, Konami released new screens for this game but its press site is a mess. I just uploaded a bunch of images and you can look at them if you want.

Considering Dale's preview at E3 was glowing, and Wesley just wrote his own impressions on it and came away "quite satisfied," hopefully it lives up to your expectations. I'm excited, to say the least.

I really wish they stuck with the original release date for the HD collection. Releasing it on the same day as Mass Effect 3 is fucking stupid

eerrr.. I'm willing to shout "holy bad ideas Batman!"

All 3 in the same month? Thats going to be painful on the pockets of anyone who wants more then one of these games, and is going to reflect.. I want to say "badly", but will setting on "oddly" on Konomi's sales figures. As someone with a limited income (that probably won't be getting a Vita just yet) I'll have to choose between the better priced collection of games I've already played but will gladly pay/play again, or risk twenty dollars more on the completely new and scary (because we don't know much about it) thing. Either way I'll get both (all three when I get a Vita) eventually, however thats not going to stop Konomi from bitching that their two games didn't sell well at release because they decided to screw the pooch on their release dates.

"For me, the most promising title is the HD Collection, only because I already know the games are good."

Not nitpicking, because I know what you mean, but this is sort of the thing we face Jim. We just don't know how good anything is unless someone (we hopefully trust) takes the plunge before us.. Luckily you kinda get an in, if they send you a review copy. Most of us don't have that luxury : / (which I know you know, and why I'm happy you spoke up about AMY.. Tried the demo.. game was fucking horrible)

I just want the HD Collection. They probably would've got more attention with the end of January release date since eff all's out unless you're into fighting games and JRPG's. But March 6th? They're walking right smack into Mass Effect 3 and Max Payne but oh well......Book of Memories still looks shit though

I don't think there will ever be another good Silent Hill game, unless the original creators did it. Every game since the movie was released has that exact look, which i guess is okay but it doesn't feel like the old school ones.

Would have gotten the two (not getting a vita) but mass effect 3, resident evil and ssx want my money too :-(

They're releasing the collection alongside Mass Effect 3? That's... uh... dumb?

And I'll wait for reviews for Downpour. Homecoming left a bad taste in my mouth.

So their strategy is to make me choose one of the three games at launch? Bizarre.

You could just leave the title as is. It doesn't need a story to back it up.
