This is something for gamers to get pissed off about for getting a piece of shit game. All the effort and anger was used up with Mass Effect 3.
Why does Konami even bother? Delivering a sub-standard product at all should be a taboo of the highest degree. It's not fair when a publisher - especially one releasing an HD collection to a highly-renowned franchise - decides they don't want to fix it.
I feel sorry for anyone who actually bought that product. Whether this is a matter of Konami not wishing to pony up some extra cash, or a measure of their laziness, they have completely and utterly failed their consumers, and I have no respect for that.

I'd just take it back to place of purchase and DEMAND a full refund. It worked for me at GameStop over Two Worlds. Make a huge fuss, get managers involved and don't back down.

I pre-ordered this, picked it up day one, and still haven't touched it because of what Jim (and numerous other sites)said about this broken piece of shit. I've been waiting so fucking patiently for a goddamn patch! Guess I'll have to keep playing the PS2 copies... and hope Konami completely dies and their IP is sold to someone who gives a shit.

Well, no more Konami games for me then. I bought the game and haven't played it hoping there would be a patch (haven't been in a huge hurry to play since I have a huge backlog of games) but since they aren't going to patch it, I'm not going to play it or buy their games.
It's rare that I feel this way, but I'll definitely be trying to pick up the HD Collection for PS3... used only.

Silent Hill was originally a Playstation franchise, so meh, I couldn't care less about the xbox SH players.

Actually, in all fairness, the 360 doesn't have that many bugs. I have it, and I'm having a good time with it. Is it a good port? Eff no. But it's way less broken than the PS3 version. And this is coming a guy who almost exclusively plays his PS3, so I'm not just being an elitist prick.

Wait, I'm confused. Without patches, the XB360 version is suposed to be the superior one, right? Now that the PS3 version has a patch and the XB360 one doesn't, which one is the best version?
I haven't bought this collection yet and just want to make sure I get the better version.
