Silent Hill gets a haunted house maze thing of scariness photo

Orange County, CA is about to get the living piss scared out of it, because Silent Hill is coming to town! The guys behind the Saw attraction are plotting a haunted house-style maze based on the psychological horror franchise with Konami's approval.

Sinister Pointe is working on the maze, which is due to open in -- you guessed it -- October. Now I'm thinking I need to go and see this for myself, and am wondering if I could write the trip off on my taxes as a business expense. It's important I look at this attraction in the name of journalism, you know!

Thankfully, those who can't make it to Orange County for the Silent Hill, But Without Any Weapons experience still have the upcoming PSP remake to look forward to.

This is defintely worth a drive up from San Diego.

I'm playing through Silent Hill 2 again right now, and the thought that this is happening somewhere in the world scares the crap out of me.

If they gave everyone radios that crackled when the monsters were nearby...best not to think about it.

unless the maze consists of you getting left alone in a small town full of fog machines and strange noises (prerecorded by yamaoka), I dont see how this could call itself 'silent hill' in any way other than simply a Franchise Stamp.

instead you'll be running through a strobe-light filled house with tons of laughing/screaming teenagers on either side of you. sounds more left 4 dead, or...pikmin.

Imagine if they incorperate some basic puzzle solving, like a locked door that can only be opend by the "bloody" key found in a child's stroller in another room....

Although that would have to involve some sort of time frame, because the stupid ones wont get it....
