Are you sick of playing XBLA games with the 360 controller's rubbish D-Pad? Well, thanks to the modding community, help is on the way. The above photo is a particularly sweet mod in which someone trapped a 360 controller's brain inside a DualShock 3's body, using the power of SCIENCE!
It's missing a few things, such as headset support and trigger buttons, but this is something that the creator hopes to include in his next attempt. Definitely a cool hybrid though, in that "goes against everything Mother Nature intended" kind of way. He even changed the LEDs to a more 360-flavored green.
Not something that I imagine would be handy for all Xbox games, but could definitely be worth a look for the SHMUP fans among us.

now lets get a wiimote and nunchuck in a 360 controller. IR functionality included.
I love the 360 controller for 3D games, but I would love to see the guts put into a ver. 2 Sega Saturn controller for 2D games. That would be a sweet d-pad and nice number of buttons.
How can you be serious about 360 control pad being more comfortable... thats just trash talk.
Plus since when was the Playstation Dpad good? I never found it that great (if not boarderline crap)

That being said...I never dug the DualShocks so this doesn't mean much to me. It is a pretty slick looking mod though.

Agreed 100%. The 360's controller is probably the best controller I've ever used with the Dreamcast's coming in second. The dual-shock is absolute garbage; I've never used something so uncomfortable.
