Show off your saber with new Star Wars Wii accessories photo

You know, sometimes you just need a reason to swing a lightsaber around in the privacy of your own home. You could get the light-up kind from your local toy store, of course, but why do that when you can stick a Wiimote in one and actually use it to play games? It's sheer brilliance, I tell you. Everyone needs one of these.

Designed for use with the upcoming Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, both the lightsaber and the Clone Trooper Blaster will be coming out in the near future. The blaster comes with a decal sheet that you can decorate it with if you want to go for that "personalized" look. These are officially licensd products, which means any fanatic Star Wars completionist may want to have them, but I think I'll just stick with swinging my Wiimote around and imagining that I'm Luke Skywalker battling my way out to Tosche's station for those power converters.

Before I noticed the Wii Remote in the picture all I could think was, "Is Lucas branching out into adult toys?"

Oh god, not one of these again... Well, they're not worse than the pom-pom, I suppose.

Can we just hollow out the ones we all have from when they first came out as kids, and stick a Wii-mote in there? :D

Is this going to be part of an optional bundle sold with the game or is this an add-on through a third-party manufacturer?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
