The controls are the exact reason I didn't pick this up. Could be because I was fuckface drunk at the time, but I just couldn't get the hang of it.
It controls like contra or metal slug but adds a button so you can hold your ground and aim 360 degrees. I loved it. Guess I'm old school too.
It's in your heart Andy. I'm 30 myself. Try it while not drunk man. If you got down with the games I mentioned, you shouldn't have a problem.
I can't believe this game was just compared to Contra or Metal Slug. It's like I live in a crazy world where this isn't a shitty game with the same "BUY UPGRADE EVERY TWO SECONDS" core gimmick as every shitty flash game.
@Sean Payne: Pretty sure the core of the game is the fast paced, tightly controlled run n gun action, that works....wait for it....Damn near the same as Contra and Metal Slug. Also, I compared the controls. I do enjoy it, quite a lot actually, but its no Metal Slug. Also upgrade every two seconds? Please. If you don't like it, that's cool. But I don't think it is at all fair to compare to some Shitty flash game or call it shitty itself.
Sounds like I'd better give it a second (read: sober) look. This is probably the same reason why I didn't care for Sine Mora, too...
