Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

Our inbox has been absolutely inundated with hot videos showing PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES in VIDEOGAMES! Because of course, we're not all sick to death of hearing the names "Obama" and "Palin" over and over again. Oh, and that other guy who nobody cares about because he's just an old white guy.

God, it's always so fresh and exciting to find out what those wacky gamers have put Obama in next. You never know what game he'll pop up in, and it's always so hilarious to see the same generic black man in a suit that has been cobbled together using character creation tools.

Obama/Palin in Spore! Obama/Palin in Wii Sports! Obama/Palin in Second Life. Oh the sheer brilliance of it all. I really wish I could post all the jawdropping videos of presidential candidates in videogames, but I might stab my own eyes out with a dog's cock ... out of sheer comedy overload, of course.

As a side note, don't forget to vote today! You OWE it to the country! Your forefathers FOUGHT and DIED on the CROSS for your RIGHT to VOTE! You should all vote for Obama because he's on TV a lot and he's really trendy. Yes, society has reached the point where even politicians can and will be used as fashion statements! But just remember that this election, just like the last one, is the most important election of all time.

So go vote and pretend that you give a sh*t about politics for just one day. Remember, when the election's over, everything will be totally different.

"besides the obvious issue of capitalization and punctuation, my posts have been completely accurate in a grammatical sense"

And apart from eating meat, Gordon Ramsay is a complete vegetarian.

"You can't deny that Obama has been paraded around like an iPod by many people. It's yet another form of social identity that people use to cover up their own lack of personality. I've found the campaign, especially from Obama people (and I'm not anti-Obama, I think both candidates are ineffectual and shallow) has been incredibly obnoxious."

Aw come on, I HATE it when you literally have to spell out such beautiful sarcasm to people. <3

"And apart from eating meat, Gordon Ramsay is a complete vegetarian."

the logical fallacy here is that vegetarianism is a binary choice while something like grammar on a whole is composed of multiple things, but nice try there jimbo

you already answered my question so im out

I can certainly agree. Never thought I'd see the day where my local Hot Topic would have a PLETHORA of Obama related shirts. Pretty crazy stuff, don't remember anyone having John Kerry shirts 4 years ago. If nothing else though, it will encourage a few more young people to actually be interested in our political system.

But good luck with Lord Gloom, I'm getting a headache just reading half this stuff.

"Quiquid (sic) latine dictum sit altum viditur, bro (sic)."
Latin only has capitals for PROPER NOUNS!!! If you don't know Latin, don't plagiarise incorrect latin phrases from the Internet or wherever you got it from.

@LordGloom - I realize that ad hominem is a common phrase, I was more implying that you were repeating it an unnecessary number of times.

@orao - Woah with the !!!. I capitalized the first letter since I thought people would read it as an anglicized sentence, since I added english punctuation and the use of the word "bro". Thanks for not getting the joke, though.

@Gloom:

So what exactly are you studying?

So far you sound just like an egotistical prick with nothing to back it up, especially your sheer ignorance regarding the economy. It's in recession, there are plenty of countries doing far better than the US right now.

And vegetarianism has several layers to it too, you fucking idiot. Type properly, or shut the hell up.

Wow, is that political disillusionment and sarcasm from a blogger? How fresh. You're really writing about the hard hitting stuff today, huh Jim? Despite the fact that you so hate those who do things just to be fashionable, your blog post is precisely within the fashion of bloggers in general. Everyone is sick of the election. Everyone (well, every Republican at least) has already commented on the fact that Obama has his own celebrity again and again.

I think my favorite part is that your point is celebrity is overshadowing the political importance of the election, and (ironically) you use your position as a blogger to discuss your problems with that celebrity instead of making a comment of any political relevance.

Punctuation is very important to correct grammar LordGloom, so no,they weren't... even if I did look past the punctuation and check it, there still wrong. Go Away.

LordGloom, some made no sense and you got progressively stupider. Basically, you showed how immature you can be and the whole reason this innernetz battle started was forgotten.

Jim, you gotta accept you were being a dick instead of just answering. This is analogous to moderators in some sites just taking priviledges away from a user just because the user does not agree with the mod

Also, Jim, he got you on the Mr. Internet Angry Man. That was shooting yourself in the foot.

Also, also, that was a boring LBP level.

Jim, this entire article was unnecessary, and nothing but lame flame-bait. You know it, I know it.

It's not like I've ever pretended to be anybody but someone who has opinions and shares them in a dickish way. People should not get so overemotional by now.

And the Mr. Angry Man comment was said because I didn't want to call him a "Stupid Cunt." I was trying to be a bit more polite, but it seems I should not have bothered.
