First off, upcoming 3DS RPG Shin Megami Tensei IV will feature DLC costumes. That's...something to make your head spin alone. It gets worse (though it's not really that bad): Japan will see themed DLC costumes that match the colors/logos of certain retailers. What is happening to my nerdy world?!
These costumes (and what they stand for) are so silly that I can't hate too much. Japanese convenience store chain Lawson has their "Law" costume (shown above, left), with its blue, white, and pink coloring matching the store's colors and uniforms. I could see the protagonist bagging up my snacks in that getup.
The other costume, "Tau," matches the colors of media retailer Tsutaya. Famitsu says that if you purchase Shin Megami Tensei IV at either of these stores, you'll get a code to download one of these costumes.
If they make a McDonald's Japan one I'll sh*t.
