Why do I feel like they're just doing anything BUT making Shenmue III to spite their own fans?</p>

Doing menial tasks in social network gaming is admittedly a cash cow for many companies these days and in that respect, Shenmue would be a lock, with all these little doo-dads for people to buy.</p>

Still, just fucking make Shenmue III already, enough of this bullshit with Asia-only MMOs and Social Networking games.</p>

Alot of people are hating on this but think about it: if this does well it boosts the chance of shenmue 3 - showing that it can be profitable<br />

That is kind of creepy, I just fired up the Dreamcast to look for sailors yesterday! Anyways, I hate to say it but the strategy of social game first kind of makes sense. Ys Net will need to build capitol and brand awareness for a proper console Shenmue title. This way they can expand awareness for the franchise to soccer moms and their friends.
