Shantae: Risky's Revenge is a fantastic game that helped bring some life to the relatively limp DSiWare service once upon a time. It's since been released on iOS due to its popularity, and now, it's hitting the PC on July 15th, according to WayForward.

It will be a director's cut of the game, and will be priced at $9.99. Details into what exactly goes into the "director's cut" isn't known just yet, but you can likely count on new costumes at the very least -- plus, the game is totally worth that price of you're a Metroidvania fan.

Shantae: Risky's Revenge coming to an iDevice near you

Shantae is good. Like, really good. And the sequel, Risky's Revenge, is also really good -- the best game on DSiWare, in fact. The original game never achieved the big sales it deserved, coming out for the Game Boy Color when...more

Review: Shantae: Risky's Revenge

Nobody played the original Shantae. I didn't and neither did you. It was a Game Boy Color game released a year after the GBA hit retail. It had such a limited run that loose copies currently fetch well over $100. The only rea...more

Review: Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc was an intelligent riff on the perils of high school -- you know, if you had thrown a murder mystery in between classes and the principal was a maniacal stuffed animal. Its sequel, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, takes a beleaguered trope and turns it on its head. This is one "trapped on a desert island" story that takes things to another level entirely.more

Review: Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS

Super Smash Bros. and I go back a long way. When the first game was released in 1999, I didn't drive. Heck, I didn't even have a Nintendo 64 at that time. But I had a Smash Bros. addiction, and would spend hours upo...more
