Shantae comes to iOS this week, have some wallpapers
Genie lovers rejoice! Shantae: Risky's Revenge is making the move from the DSi to iOS later this week. Even if you are one of those terrible genie racists, you should still check this gem out. Gorgeous visuals and great music make the game a treat, and then there's the pirates, belly dancing and shape shifting. I hope this enhanced port lives up to the high standard of the DSi version. Shantae: Risky's Revenge will drop on iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch later this week. So get your belly dancing gear ready. In the mean time, enjoy these fine works of art for your iOS devices. Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)already got this magnificent game on my 3-ds, I really don't see this game being very fun with touch screen only controls already got this magnificent game on my 3-ds, I really don't see this game being very fun with touch screen only controls I really want to buy this game, but I don't have a DSi or 3DS, and I don't have an i-device. I feel like mailing WayForward a check for $15 and then going out to pirate it so I can play it on PC, but I'm still holding out hope for a Steam release sometime in the future. I'd like to support more adventure platformers, but in cases like this, it's difficult. Already grabbed this from the e-shop, but now I know what they've been up to instead of getting the first game up for download :-/ Is it seriously worth plunking $12 on the eShop? I found that price to be a little excessive, as awesome as the game looks. I wonder if this means it might finally become available in Australia without having to change your 3DS' location to a European country.
Not that I have or ever plan to get an iOS device, but nice for those who do. anyone questioning the price of this game, it's completely worth it. The game is probably one of the best games I've played on the DS, retail or otherwise. I got it 3 days ago and have neglected every other game I own for Shantae, $12 is an absolute bargain and wayforward deserves your money for being the most underrated developer this generation. Support it, I want to see the Shantae franchise to continue, its awesome to see a game in the MetroidVania style that doesn't take itself so seriously. @Ronin4life: Well...you're totally correct, because it IS Nobuhiro Watsuki. I scanned a couple of his "author doodles" from the cover flaps of the Japanese Rurouni Kenshin volumes, cleaned them up, and started using them around the net for a couple of fun and fairly-unique avatars. I should try to get pig-Watsuki from the Buso Renkin covers... 9:30 AM on 05.21.2013 Molyneux: Xbox 360 won this gen, now must beat AppleWe all know Peter Molyneux lives in a gumdrop world of magic and make-believe, but perhaps none of us realized he was so far gone as to live in a world where Nintendo and Sony apparently don't exist. Nobody played the original Shantae. I didn't and neither did you. It was a Game Boy Color game released a year after the GBA hit retail. It had such a limited run that loose copies currently fetch well over $100. The only rea...more
