What? WHAT? WHAAAAT!? WHAAAAAAAAAAAT!?

Suck it down! That's what I'm talkin' 'bout! Hell yeah!

The cover of November's Nintendo Power features our half-genie starlet in full pirate garb, teaming up with her archnemesis Risky Boots for as of yet unknown reasons. At the end of Risky's Revenge, Shantae lost her magic, so it'll be exciting to see how she handles her new threats in this upcoming eShop sequel.

More details are bound to appear soon. In the meantime, GET EXCITE.

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse delayed for a 'couple more months'

Remember when we reported that Shantae and the Pirate's Curse for the 3DS was "almost done?" Well it appears as if it's not really all that nearly done, as WayForward has further delayed the game for a few more months. WayForward has its hands full with this and Half-Genie Hero, the latter of which has no release in sight. WayForward [Twitter via Nintendo Life]more

Inti Creates contributing art to both new Shantae games

We all owe WayForward an apology. We haven't been paying the Kickstarter for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero much attention because Mighty No. 9 gobbled up everyone's focus. I knew weeks in advance that WayForward was planning to la...more

Taking down a boss in Shantae and the Pirate's Curse

It's been heartwarming to see gamers embrace Shantae and developer WayForward as a whole these past few years. Before fans get too lost in the Kickstarter-funded Half-Genie Hero, there's Shantae and the Pirate's Curse for the 3DS eShop, which we got to play at PAX Prime 2013. Mash through the text, Tony. 'Infographics action game' Metrico lands on PS Vita next month

We've covered Metrico a couple of times before but it's only now, in the last big push before release, that I am starting to grasp what it's all about. This trailer helps. The game is full of infographics that "change based ...more

Review: Abyss Odyssey

One thing you can't accuse Chilean developer ACE Team of doing is ploughing the same, well trodden ground as other indie devs. Its debut hit Zeno Clash combined a surrealistic art style with first-person, melee combat, while ...more

Beating Spelunky in under two minutes

One minute and fifty five seconds -- that's the new world-record any% time for Spelunky set by Pibonacci. It hurts my brain thinking about how many runs must have happened before the right conditions presented themselves for this to unfold. To think, I was happy to clear Olmec in under eight minutes for the "Speedlunky" achievement.more
