Forget Wii Fit. Peekaboo Poledancing, the only in-home dance pole manufacturer endorsed by Carmen Electra, have a better idea -- a pole dancing game for the Wii.

According to Tech Digest, the company is currently seeking a partner to help license their concept for a Wii title. There isn't really any other info to go on, but one can only hope we'll see a digital Carmen Electra in action and she'll look slightly better than Joey Lawrence and Emmet Smith looked in Activision's Dancing With the Stars game. Because I'm still having nightmares, and it's just not cool.

An idea like this may never see the light of day -- poledancing, while one of my favorite pastimes, doesn't necessarily fit in with Nintendo's catalog of software. But a Wii Remote and Wii Balance Board combo could make for some, um, interesting YouTube videos.

That pole doesn't look too sturdy. I think someone could take a nasty spill. Which is why I strongly endorse this product... the youtube vids will be priceless

O_o

not the safest looking way to install a pole. if it doesn't tear a hole in the ceiling drywall, it most assuredly would fall and take out someone (ie the boyfriend on the sofa).

I always wanted to learn how to pole dance. It's good aerobic exercise. That pole just doesn't look safe though. And I don't really understand how the Wii could be incorporated.

And I love how serious I took all of that.

"And I don't really understand how the Wii could be incorporated."

Hold the Wiimote in your hand and rub it all over your body as you hang from the stripper pole. Let the vibrations guide your hands. Good Lord I'm creepy.

Obviously one inserts in inside oneself, clicks the calibrate button, and proceeds to carry out the instructions on the screen with a vibration for every successful movement.

Seemed pretty clear to me.

Sounds like an interesting idea for the Wii Fit mat. Put a pole peripheral on it, and go to town!

I agree with MissHinasaki. If I tried to play this game, I'd probably fall onto the pole - but not in a good way.

I can't see Nintendo letting this onto the system.
