I liked the ending of the first game as it was, but a sequel would be nice, sure. Just make the game more replayable somehow, I finished it in one renting and have no desire to play it again.
Loved the game. All it was missing was some sort of New Game Plus feature. If it had included a reason to replay it a few times for bonuses, it would have gone a long way.

This was one of my favorite games of 2011. I wouldn't mind seeing another as long as they kept the humor intact. It was perfect.
I'd buy it day one just like the original... as long as it didn't include multiplayer bull or EA Online Pass garbage.

MORE STRAWBERRIES oh and johnson. I would purchase it even if it were sold as episodic content locked in dlc on the disc. Okay I wouldn't but still, I want this to be a thing before I die. I love all of Suda 51's creations and his team of mutated hamsters made to look like humans. They create some of the most enjoyable experiences games have to offer and are not afraid to push the boundaries of what silliness and fun a game can provide.

EA didn't seem like it went too far out of its way for the first one. If Grasshopper can do it on a budget I'd bet EA actually would let them do another.

I think Shadows of the Damned 2 could thrive, but under a better publisher or self-published. EA didn't put near enough effort or marketing into the product, one of the biggest reasons it suffered in the first place. Another studio might inspire exposure for the game as a newly acquired IP, which would surely result in a (hopefully) kick-ass sequel.
EA would back a sequel? I'm impressed the first game even came out, now don't they have rules like every EA game must have multiplayer and an online pass? And didn't the original sell poorly?
Well if it happens, I'll be happy. But I wasn't too fond of No More Heroes 2 so I won't be disappointed if Suda sticks to new IPs instead of going the sequel route again (even if he's allowed a bigger budget for sequels).

@epic: it may be, but I'd welcome it. Do it like raid mode in revelations (upgrades, leveling, coop, tiered difficulty) and I'd spunk.
Grasshopper Manufacture's been cursed with weak western marketing support. Ubisoft failed to promote NMH1 and 2, and EA droppped a stealth launch on Shadows of the Damned. The latter sold so poorly in the US that its probably still under 100k copies. I wouldn't be that surprised if Sine Mora ends up being its best selling game (surpassing sales of NMH 1 and Killer7).
By far one of my most favorite games of 2011. A sequel would be a dream come true. Saying that the game sold like shit is being too kind. People scream and cry that they want more original IP and no more cookie cutter sequels, but whenever this industry gives them exactly that, they ignore it.

I would buy it day one. Hopefully they'll implement a New Game+ though and leave multiplayer out of it.
Game was cool, but the aiming was terrible. A sequel needs to have a proper crosshair, not a flippin laser sight that trails behind your aim. Also, drop the camera-look drift and you'll have yerselves a pretty fine game.
Shadows of the Damned was amazing, though a little short on content for $60 product. I fully support a sequel, but I really hope if one does happen it is more content heavy.
I'm surprised EA would back the game since it bombed though, Suda should switch over to another publisher. EA is garbage and probably won't market the sequel if it ever comes into existence.

Massimo Guarini is awesome, but i want the flair of these three guys.
plus i want to see Yamaoka directing this since he did direct Silent Hill 3(which is my favorite Silent Hill game ever)

This might sound strange, but LESS variety please. Shadows played best when it was simply being a third person shooter.
When it became a side-scrolling shmup, or a point-and-shoot lightgun-style game, or when you had to escape your single-touch-death girlfriend, it just wore out its welcome. Those sections dragged on for too long and lacked the finesse of the main game.

Loved this to pieces, absolutely unashamed in its execution and still managed to cram some poignant stuff in there.
If they do make a sequel they had better put in a new game plus!! SotD was really lacking in replay value, I would have loved to play through the whole game with the later versions of the weapons instead of just having them for the last hour or so.
This excites me. Shadows of the Damned was my second favorite game of 2011 (right behind Portal 2). I really really hope this happens.
just got the game in from having picked it up from EA's 50% off sale foe $15 (and Bulletstorm for $10) but haven't' started it, mostly because 2 days later Silent Hill HD came out, and I bought Downpour.. and I have a friend pressuring me to get Mass Effect 3 to co-op with them, with the money I'm getting back from returning Raccoon City.
I can't wait to get to this game though, I'm positive this will be a game I'll be happy to see a sequel to.
