I'm hoping we get some collectors thing for the US/EU release. Honestly this game is one of the few I would buy a collectors for, they are pretty much the single most inspirational games I've ever played! :)

I got pretty psyched this morning when I bumped into this. I really, really hope they drop the NA version soon after Japan get's theirs.
I just beat ico for the 1st time a few weeks ago. I think I logged just under 7 hours, and I'm not very good at puzzle gsmes,either. Fun game, but I found SOTC to be a better game, overall

I already have SotC, but I'll likely rebuy it anyway. The original had such performance issues it's going to feel like a new game with all the technical stuff ironed out.

Any word on whether or not the 1080p graphics means upscaled textures or actually completely reworked assets? I know the point of these games isn't purely the graphics, but I'm still interested in knowing the tech specs.

I managed to miss SotC too, but Ico was pretty amazing.
I knew all along this was never going to come to Xbox, but it still smarts a bit that I'm going to miss out on this. Guess I'll have to track down a copy of the original for my PS2 ^_^

You never played Shadow of the Colossus SC??!! You're in for a treat. The only problem with the game was it was too big for its britches and had some hiccups on the ol PS2. Should be shiny and slick looking on PS3.
The yen is strong against the dollar. I think we will see both titles at around $40 each, and the combo for around $60.

Did they really have to seperate them....I hope they have the two disc copy in NA but I would be contempt with just getting Ico seeing as I own SotC.

Honestly, I think the price is pretty steep for such old games. Remake or not. But whatever, fans can be milked without big problems. I wasted no time to buy the GoW collection.
But with this one. Not sure. Never played Ico and I couldn't play SotC because the frame hickups weren't bearable for me.

Words can't describe how happy I am to be moving to Japan with this as a welcoming present. All is well.
Sweet; hopefully the Western dates will follow soon. Ico is one of those amazing gaming experiences that has stuck with me since I first played the game. Shadow was cool too, though admittedly I never finished it. This seems like a great opportunity to do just that.
I wonder if the soundtracks will be included. I still have my Ico soundtrack, but not the SotC soundtrack.
Amazon pre-order is $38.99, so I'm pretty sure that's how it will end up.
It makes me a little sad to think about how many people will play Ico and then be disappointed because of extremely high expectations. Ico was so powerful for me because it came out of nowhere, with no expectations, and redefined the potential of gaming. The context of gaming is different NOW, partially because of works like Ico, and there will definitely be people who do not understand that.
That being said, with my own personal context, seeing Yorda and the Queen still gives me goosebumps.

If they're gonna pull this bullshit over here in the states then count me out. Two of the few games I actually wanted HD remakes of, it's sad that Sony pulled a Deathly Hallows and went for the blatant cash grab maneuver. I love the shit outta these games but I aint paying full price for 'em again. Both for 50 or less or no deal :P

I am going to soak in every last detail when I play these again in HD. I also can't wait to get the original Ico cover. Easily the best box art ever.

I'm so excited. I've been waiting to play Ico for years. Even if they don't bring it stateside and I have to import this I will play this game.
can't wait to play my all time favourite games again!
however, can't help but worry that alot of gamers who missed these are going to be disappointed, or say "This is what the hype was about, where's my guns and cars?" the now day crowd and so forth need more action in their games and I can potentially see gamers getting bored.
I however have been eagerly anticipating these game all over again, can't wait to play SoTC in full 3d and in beautiful HD

Don't care that I already own both games and I have no problem with playing them on my old system, I'm getting this first day...partially because in an attempt to experience SoTc like I did the first time I played it I've banned myself from playing it until the remakes come out.
