You can't fight it - sex sells on the internet, even if it's videogame-related. Just glance over to the glaring disparity between the number 1 most popular story on Destructoid on the right hand side of the screen and then look at everything else. A far better example is Red Light Center, a game recently covered in Wired that is reportedly making
$20/month from 10% of its 40,000 users... before the game has even entered BETA TESTING 4k x $20 = whoa.

Why is this game an
overnight... hmm, its not even launched yet, so.... breakfast-time success? Because of its get-to-the-point gameplay: You can customize an avatar, walk around a big porn city, get naked, and have cybersex all day. When you're not having cybersex, the city walls stream real porn video and you can set up a profile. The draw is that the Sims1-like graphics engine is actually decent for a porn game, even though its nowhere near as hot as the EQ2-like graphics of my nekkid game of choice
Dream Stripper. I took one for the team checked out the porn all morning (I love my job) and here's my conclusion: it's well made but laggy... but more notably both a sausage party and an accidental MMORPG version of The Crying Game. I'm sure there are a few women in there, but overall it is BY FAR a bunch of guys pretending to be women. If you're curious take it for a spin - the game is free until you want to get MMORPG-STDS.
