Fair enough. Truth be told, I was not a fan of Killian, nor did I ever consider him any sort of "face" for Capcom. End of an era, indeed, for better or for worse.

I've always liked Seth... and wish I was able to say I'm sad to see him go. As it stands though, better to get the hell out now with some dignity intact before that ship sinks any further.

Also, it'd be nice if he sticks around so he can share his honest opinions/insight on games and maybe play a bit.

He had to be the happiest motherfucker in the industry these past few years. Especially with the resurgent fighting game scene. He oozed excitement like I've never seen. To be a fan and work for that company.

I remember him saying something to Gootecks along the lines of "yeah, to be honest, I was a bit iffy on the whole gem system but I've grown to like it......" emphasis on the ellipses there

@ bitCrusher- The whole FGC community is pretty silly if they thought Seth was going to say anything negative about a game made by his own company. You don't want to publicly bad mouth your boss. More so, he's friends with Ono-san, Niitsuma-san, and countless other developers at Capcom.

Seth, all I can say is godspeed. You've made a lot of friends, fans, and even haters through out the years, but it all comes with the job. We'll wonder why you left (not that we have to guess that hard.The current state of Capcom is in rough shape with its reckless outsourcing decisions, vanilla game releases, and shady on-disc DLC business practices among other things.
yes! Hopefully CAPCOM next fighters will be balanced and not broken. SF x T and SF4 are some pretty shitty fighters in my opinion.
Super Street Fighter 4 was actually one of the most balanced fighters released this generation. AE and AE2012 though.. That's another story. Actually AE was pretty good balance wise, twins were just pretty ridiculous but could be beaten. It's not like they didn't have weaknesses.
Also Seth was mainly the Capcom PR guy regarding fighters, he did have some input on the development but not as much as people would like to think. Having met Seth when he brought Tatsunoko VS Capcom UAS to Season's Beatings he's a great guy, and just likes what he does.

Makes me glad I got to interview him when he was still with Capcom. While I agree this is the end of an era for Capcom in terms of promoting and influencing their fighting games, that doesn't necessarily mean it'll heavily impact their non-fighting game franchises.
@ Andrew Evenstar- He actually did help make the games, particualrly the fighters. He did a lot with balancing and with roster creation(the two most important aspects of fighting games) with all of Capcom's fighters after SF4.
@ NukaCola- Agreed that is will mostly effect thier fighters, but Seth came up with a lot of the promotion for the Mega Man games and the Lost Planet titles as well. I think the only big Capcom series that he was never involved with was Resident Evil.

Yeah, but their fighting games are all Capcom has left. Resident Evil and Devil May Cry are just shadows of what they once were, if that. Any hype there was for Lost Planet and Dead Rising has pretty much mellowed out to not necessary disdain, but neutrality.
If Capcom loses fighting games again, at this point all they'd have left is Monster Hunter... which will keep them alive for Japan, but not really anywhere else.

even though im not a fan of Capcom US doings(the constant replacement of bosses names in megaman games to pop culture, censorship in other games, removal of music and voices ex megaman x6 in megaman x collection etc.
i also don't like their meddling in the development team like in resident evil revelations where it's supposed to be a mansion in sea but capcom usa opposed that for some reason. especially Svensson.

as for DMC, i don't know it seems the animations feels a little stiff does making it look like slow, it doesn't help the fact that the devil trigger slow things down.
but i'll wait for more gameplay to judge that.

Great games still to come? I don't see any on the way. Capcom used to be one of the most badass game developers out there, but now they're so lazy all they do is outsource all their big titles and are a glorified publisher. Maybe he's going somewhere to help develop a fighting game...?
