There are two things I feel obligated to mention when discussing Serious Sam. First off, you know those idiotic skeleton things that click and clack when they run at Sam and are literally never not running at Sam unless they get caught on an object due to bad scripting? Most annoying enemy or most annoying enemy?

That brings me to my next point, which is that the kamikaze musclemen with bombs for heads are pretty damned annoying too, now that I think about it. Similar to the skeletons, they enjoy jogging at all times. The difference is that these guys yell at the top of their lungs, even when they are a mile away from being able to explode by Sam. I suppose it makes about as much sense as the rest of the game.

But to get slightly more on topic, there's a new trailer for Serious Sam HD viewable after the break. Dare I say it, the remake is looking quite good. For those who disagree, I suggest you go take a good hard look at the original Serious Sam -- it was kind of ugly for its time, and it hasn't exactly aged well.

DO WANT!

The original SS was awesome. An HD version will be unstoppable! Big question, is there a multiplayer mode?

I love the bomb head guys. They always make me laugh. Especially after you kill the first one and Sam just yells back at him.

I think only 4-player online co-op has been confirmed so far.

Was I the only one who thought it weird that for a game that has Sam wielding his minigun on the "cover", there wasn't a single second of footage showing him using it? I don't doubt for a second that it'll show, it just seems like an iconic enough weapon for him to be shooting it a bit in the TRAILER.

@Kamanashi That was worth releasing the trailer for. You are our new favorite world wide web user ever. More than Oprah and Ashton Kutcher put together.

I had completely forgotten how much I hated those guys with the bombs on their hands -- and that scream of theirs!! And those skeletons ... and the laser gun with the TIE fighter sound ... so much in this game to get on one's nerves!!

The PC version is so mine on release day.

Dumbass retarded game, incredibly fun in co-op. Day one purchase, in fact I "can't wait". Games need more one-liners nowadays.

I hope that the new engine can hold the enemies at a rock-solid frame rate like the original one did.
