Sensible World of Soccer and Tempest on XBLA this Wednesday photo

Some of you have been stressing over Sensible World of Soccer ever since it was first announced for Live Arcade, so I'm happy to say that it'll finally be released this Wednesday for 800 Microsoft Points, along with Tempest for 400 Microsoft Points.

Considered to be a classic by many, Sensible World of Soccer is going high-def and online for XBLA. Fans of the series should also be pleased to know that this version uses the code from SWOS '96/'97 (apparently the best game of the bunch).

If you are unfamiliar with Tempest, then I suggest you never tell another human being that you're knowledgeable of videogames. Not much to say about this port, other than the fact that its got updated graphics and the same hyper-speed mode that's been tacked onto previous arcade remakes on Live Arcade.

Do either of these look good? I'm not sure how long I'll be able to resist getting Tempest.

Sensible World of Soccer? Did they try to make the game sound not fun at all?

How different is this updated Tempest from Space Girraffe, which was just an updated tempest?

Another Wednesday, another Arcade update that doesn't interest me at all. All I want is my SF II HD Remix. Or at least an original title that isn't a puzzle game. I'll even do with some ports. Good ports. I can has Final Fantasy Tactics?

Not sure how having really good older games makes XBLA any different from PSN or VC, but anyways..

Tempest 2000 was my favorite game on the Jaguar (yes, I owned a Jaguar, please dont shoot me!) and I like the hi-def makeover they've given it here. I may have to buy this one!

They could have added Tempest 2000 as a bonus! The only Jaguar game ever worth playing.
