Yes, that's right, folks: this time, the cake is real (hurr, hurr)! Tomorrow -- March 16, 2010 -- is Destructoid's fourth anniversary, so what better way to celebrate than with a cake from a game I've played thanks to all the Podtoid listeners (and cast members) who wouldn't shut the hell up about it until I did?
Tonight, the gang (myself, Aaron, Jim, Brad -- for part of the show -- and Topher) will probably be talking about all the stuff that came out of the 2010 Game Developers Conference, which took place last week in San Francisco. Brad was there, so he'll tell you all about it, including his hands-on time with PlayStation Move, and why he's not worried about the new control scheme, even though he's a lefty.
There's plenty of other stuff to discuss, including the outrageous 1200 Microsoft Point price for the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 'Stimulus Package' map pack, so hit the comments and ask away! We're recording at 9 PM EDT, so get your questions/comments in before then.
Samit Sarkar is a founding Destructoid editor and go-to Sports guy. Samit was the son of the Duke of Knees, rescued from a burning village in the afghan desert by a golden condor. He is an ace Backgammon player and lost both legs in a whaling tour. He lives for free in a nursery in Scotland where he teaches monks how to capture butterflies without hurting them.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Finish this sentence: In the far flung future of 2008...
1. What is the hardest boss you've ever fought because you didn't known its weakness or had an effective strategy? And how long did it take you to beat said boss?
2. Have you ever fought a boss who was notoriously difficult for some, but midly challenging for you?
"Press X to Valkyrie."
1. What is your fondest memory from the site
2. Do you think the PS Move will finally make Nintendo take Wii HD seriously
Discuss please.
Anyway, do you think we just about reached the point where these open worlds are just too big, or do they need to keep growing to better the experiences in the games?
Topher: When is someone going to make a Beedog shooter, or has that happened and I just missed it?
Samit: I love you.
Jim: Bring back Podcastle
Aaron:...ERIN ERIN ERIN ERIN.
#1: Do you believe that Alan Wake is failure too *this guy in YouTube, I forgot his name* since it and Gran Turismo has been in development for more than 3 years now and still hasn't come out yet?
#2: What are your most anticipated exclusive games for PS3, Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360?

And what's the best Co-op game you've played recently?
2. If Batman, Jim Sterling, Niero, The Great and Terrible OZ got into a sarcasm contest, who would make the sammiches?
3. 7
4. When the fuck is Nintendo's fucking ass going to fucking announce a new fucking Kirby game?
5.
Z123. Someone slap samit.
Is the holocaust game explained in a recent article a cheap bid at manipulating the emotions surrounding the tragedy or is it a legitimate attempt at provocative interaction? Can the same intensity of reaction be elicited by a less controversial means?
Also, Ekans vs Jason vs Kratos, who would get fucked?
What do you think of the Germans?
What's your favorite German city?
What's your favorite German invention?
kthnx
Also:
Doesn't the Holocaust game do the same as the path, as it gives you a set of rules and then tells you you failed for following them? It's not like the game gives you any choice, the only way to rebel to the system is luck with drawing the derail cards.. now you could say that's a metaphor for the train conductor in the 3rd Reich, however, I can't see what's the point of playing the game. It sounds like a childish reaction to burst into tears over that revelation.
Also, I haven't played Deadly Premonition since I don't have a 360, but from what I've read/seen about it, I would call it the Troll 2 or Killer Klowns from Outer Space of video games. Am I correct in making that assumption?
