We're already gearing up to bring you our 2009 Tokyo Game Show coverage later this month, so it's good to hear that some interesting games will be on the show floor.
I guess that we'll go and check out Sega's booth and their Yakuza 4, even though those as*holes forgot about us and haven't even started porting Yakuza 3 yet. I'm still going to check it out, and I'm still going to import it. Bastards.
Thankfully Sega has more to show off than Yakuza 4. They've put together a webpage showcasing all the games that they'll be bringing to TGS. Here's some other titles that they'll be bringing:
- Puyo Puyo 7 (NDS)
- The House of the Dead Overkill (Wii)
- Bayonetta (PS3/X360)
- Chin Sports (Wii)
- Let's Make a Pro Soccer Club! 6 Pride of J (PSP)
- Phantasy Star Portable 2 (PSP)
- End of Eternity (PS3/X360)
- Puyo Puyo 7 (Wii, PSP)
- Valkyria Chronicles 2 (PSP)
- Yakuza 4 (PS3)
Out of all the above listed, aside from Yakuza 4, I'm most looking forward to seeing End of Eternity (pictured above), the upcoming Xbox 360 and PS3 role-playing game Sega has co-developed with RPG kings tri-Ace. Also, though it probably won't be playable, Valkyria Chronicles 2 for PSP is going to be shown off. Better than all of this is going to be the Japanese Bayonetta cosplayer. Expect full coverage of all of these!

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
But i do love hot witches and RPG's with senseless name.
Yakuza 4 will be fantastic. I know it.
SEGA! (shakes fist)
It's crazy. I even bought Mad World, Valkyrie Chronicles, AND The Conduit -- which wan't great, IMHO. It's frustrating that Sega doesn't seem interested in bringing over this specific series, when they release (arguably) niche games with many other titles.
Because I played Valkyrie Profile 1, 2 and DS, Star Ocean 1, 2 and yes 4 is actually a very fun game, and Radiata Stories and judged them to be a fantastic company.
It's good to know you are the last person anyone should talk to about RPGs.
And Infinite Undiscovery isn't even that bad of a game. It's short and very obviously unfinished (lol undiscovered) but it's still fun.
Yakuza would still sell like dirt though.
