Sega still insists The Incredible Hulk game is 'realistic,' sends us new screens

     Xbox 360

Sega's upcoming game The Incredible Hulk may be a lot of things, but one thing it's not is "realistic." We're talking about a massive green dude tearing apart New York City, folks. Still, Sega keep insisting that the title is an "intensely realistic third-person action" game. Not simply realistic -- "intensely realistic." That's a wild claim right there.

Realistic or not, the game isn't looking half bad, and the dynamic open world of New York City combined with the wild amount of destruction Sega is promising has my attention. But movie tie-in games always have me worried. I just saw Iron Man today (only cost me and my wife $40!) and was totally impressed; has anyone played Sega's Iron Man game yet? I haven't, so I'm not making any judgments -- I'll leave that up to you guys.

The Incredible Hulk hits shelves next month, just in time for the film's June 13 release.

Blah, you're reading way too much into the intent. It's not realistic from the perspective of the characters, but in regards to the physics and world elements.

Damn nit picky, aren't we?

Hulk looks just like my Intro to Financial Management TA. Wait, is that right? Nono, my TA looks more like this guy:

He's kinda hulkish... I guess. Eh, more of a, "Conan Joins a Frat." Which would undoubtedly be a better game than Hulk.

@ loki:

Blah, you're reading way too much into me joking about Sega calling it "realistic."

Anyone out of touch with reality would dare to call anything created by humans "intensely realistic".

Oh and

If they keep the Ultimate Destruction thing going then the game is gonna be awesome.

I just hope its not as hard as the Iron Man game is.

hmmmm....weather the game is realistic or not, I'm gonna' have to say that I'm just not interested in the hulk. I'd rather go for spiderman......or someone like that.

That's no way realistic, no way a pair of jeans can stretch that much.

I really want to see Iron Man. The PSN demo for the Iron Man game, though, looks like a steaming pile.

I wonder if the Hulk's penis gets all crazy huge when he hulks out.

Did I just say that out loud?

Iron Man (the movie) rocked, but from what I’ve heard, the game blows. I didn’t even bother with the PSN demo.

lol if its realistic who the hell needs it? that would be like burnout paradise with speed limit :) i recently played iron man and must admit that its crap. until now the best licensed game is hulk ultimate destruction. this one was great. they new hulk game should be just like that with better graphics and it would ROCK! but unfortunately its not made by the same developer so odds are godd that this new hulk game will suck big time.

Do try the demo before you buy the Iron Man game. Do see the movie in the theaters immediately.

I don't know exactly why, but I'm really digging the Ironman game. I mean, I am a fan, and the movie rocked. But the game's just kind of a refresher from playing so damn much GTA. After getting busted by the cops, I just want to smash an army, and rip tanks apart.
I like the flight controls and the auto-aim. It's awfully short, though, and the "bonuses" won't keep your attention for long.
