Here comes the sales when you're fresh out of money from holiday shopping. It never ends! At least Sega is offering some pretty low prices on some of these XBLA, PSN and App Store games. Some of them are 80 percent off. You'll have to get into each store and dig around to find the deals, but sorting/searching for "Sega" shouldn't be too hard.
The Microsoft offerings are probably the most limited. Sega lists Renegade Ops for 800 Microsoft Points and After Burner Climax for 400 MSP, but that's about it. They say these prices are good from tomorrow through January 2.
Sega's discounts on PSN run from tomorrow through January 3, and include games like Daytona USA for $6.99, or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I for the same price. Renegade Ops and Sega Rally are also discounted.
Finally, the iOS sale runs through January 9, and has many of Sega's offerings priced at $0.99. Chu Chu Rocket HD, Streets of Rage 2, Sonic Spinball, Brick People HD and many more are only going to cost you a buck.
Hopefully you still have a few bucks left!

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Blah blah blah, Microsoft's evil, Blah Blah Blah, Don't know what they're doing, Yadda Yadda. Right?
This is Sega's sale *ON* XBL, you know that right? Thats why its not just on XBL and goes across multiple platforms? They probably didn't pick a bunch of things from XBL's line up because a lot of their games already had a bunch of sales and flat out price reductions over the past few months, on that same service. They probably feel like it'd be cutting off their nose despite their face since digital items RARELY ever have a sale two times in a row over a 3 month period.
PSN's version of this sale isn't all that great either if you go by what Dale said, it just has some more stuff on it.. Ohh Daytona and Sega Rally.. Stop the presses Sony wins all! Its funny how people end up talking about XBL's sales and business far more then PSN's, isn't it?
So get off it, mate. We know Microsoft is shady, but so is every company in their own way, they're hardly cheapskates when it comes to sales. Sony did a nice job at pointing out how much peoples saved with PSN+ this year because it was a marketing move to push people to get the improved service and to polish off any ill feelings about the PSN hacking. If you follow XBL's sales and happen to actually buy something from every one, I'm sure you could save just as much. All Sony's really got going for them in that department is that they're willing to give away games as an incentive to joining/being a member -Microsoft does it with Online play (not the best carrot to hang over peoples heads, I know) and now they're doing it with tons of apps/services.
I want a kart racerrrr, but I don't wanna spend moneyyy
anyways, semantics
It would be nice if Microsoft did that, but it's a corporation, which has to make stock holders happy. Valve is independently owned and can do things a lot differently than Microsoft.
