Good to see that Sonic Team is actively creating new IPs. Instead of trying to milk money out of a dead mascot. Because, it'd just be terrible if they were doing that.
I really wish Sega would dedicate more effort into Sonic 4. Such a good engine and mechanics let down by shitty design and repetition.

Pretty sure this is the rumored Anniversary game where you play through recreated versions of past Sonic stages.
I found Sonic colours to be a good game (better then the other 3D outings anyway), so if they stayed to that formular, but improving on some of the weaker parts of it, then this could be a great game, IF they dont get too "Creative".

I just played through the original Sonic the other day on PSN. Was that game ever fun?? It kind of made me appreciate Sonic Unleashed a little more. Not that it's a fantastic game, but it sure puts classic Sonic to shame.

I hope its more of a spin off, because the Sega themed games like the Tennis and Kart Racer are pretty awesome. Main line Sonic games, not so much!
Hey, Jim don't be a pussy about this. I think this game will be good. Sonic Colors was awesome and yes I know you didn't like that game while it was clear Sonic Colors was a good game as you can see by how he got 8s and 9s from many other reviewers who had much better reviews. This game is supposed to be like them and a lot of the fans were very pleased with Colors including me who was tired of crappy sonic games. This game should be good because it's basically going to be Sonic Colors and Sonic Unleashed day stages. Oh, and I think this is the anniversary game. So stop being so pessimistic and have some faith that Sega can make another great game like Colors. :)

Um... "Sonic Generations" has been mentioned as "Coming Soon!" Monthly in the Archie Sonic comics for months now. Don't be surprised if this is just a comic thing. All sings point to it being the next story arc, starting on or after issue 225. Made an account here just to say that... will provide a picture if someone tells me how.
