Sega has no sense of humor photo

I think somebody peed in Sega’s corn flakes…

The web site YTMND.com recently received a letter from Sega asking them to stop any use of the Sonic the Hedgehog character and anything related to it. The letter threatened legal actions would be taken if Sonic wasn’t removed from the site.

They also demanded a whole bunch of crazy things too, like ownership of the website, money made from the site and the removal of the web site altogether. I think the letter is just a standard one and these demands don’t count in this case as the whole site isn’t dedicated to Sonic the Hedgehog.

We all seen this kind of industry bull before and though I’m no lawyer, I doubt any action will be taken against YTMND.com, except that letter. YTMND.com has already responded to Sega on the matter which can be viewed on their site .

Sega needs to just learn to laugh at their selves once in a while, just like we laughed at their game, Shadow the Hedgehog.

No one cares about Sonic since he turned 3D anyway. If Sega hadn't gayed the series up with pointless sidekicks, giving Sonic a voice and renaming Robotnik to Eggman, I might care more about this.

Sonic the Hedgehog is my biggest videogame tragedy. As a Genesis gamer growing up, I always thought he was cooler than that fat plumber asshat. For shame.

Huh, I always thought Amy would wait for Sonic before she put out. Guess she got tired of waiting.

This makes me sad because I'm an avid fan of Sega's arcade games and I want to get Virtua Fighter 5 when it comes out. This might spoil some of the fun though.

Still, I can't take a villian called Eggman seriously. Granted, this is Sonic, but that's just quite bad on Sega's part.

Sega: Please make me a new Sonic game in 2D with at least 100 levels to keep me occupied. I seriously would buy that.

If you don't want something made fun of by morons, don't show it to everyone.

I mean, I'm sure they're right that everything on YTMND is tastless crap that's not even funny in the tasteless way, and they have no obligation to find it funny or condone it, but what the hell do they care if it's legal?
