Sega is gearing up to release a series of Sega Genesis games for the iPhone and iPod Touch this summer, and they are starting with a couple of classics.

Both Space Harrier II and Ecco the Dolphin are available on the App Store now. I loved both games as a Sega kid, though I don't know how well they'll hold up on the iPhone's touchscreen. What I do like about these is that the virtual d-pad and action buttons are styled to look just like the buttons on the Genesis controller. Nice touch, Sega.

Space Harrier II is only $0.99, while Ecco is $2.99. I can't wait to see what they put out next.
