Sega drops Vanquish hints, mentioned for PS3/PSP photo

Platinum Games' freshly-announced Vanquish has not yet been officially announced for any system, nor has a publisher been revealed. However, anybody with a brain could work out that there will be a PS3 version, and Platinum will continue its relationship with Sega.

Do you remember that leaked Sega document from last year? The one that promised Dreamcast games on the PS3 and various other sordid details. Vanquish was mentioned on it, long before we knew what the game even was. The document mentions that Vanquish provides an "opportunity for PS3/PSP interoperability."

You can take that to mean that Vanquish may use both the PS3 and PSP to enhance the overall game, but until we know more gameplay details, that's mere speculation. In any case, Platinum Games owns my soul, so Vanquish will be one of my most closely followed games. Once we know more, you'll know more.

since it's Platinum Games i would rather say that it's for 360 than for ps3 or psp. i guess that it will be multiplatform game with some psp spinoff at best(like Assassins Creed 2)

If this brings more credibility to the leaked document, I am more interested in the rest of the details of that document. PS2 emulator? Oh please let it be true.

Platinum games only made one game for the 360 so you guys need to give them a break and stop acting as though they're only a 360 dev right now its one game for wii one game for 360 why wouldn't they have one for PS3

I'm curious to see what a Japanese developer can do with something Halo-esque.

I would laugh if the developers make this a turn based ff style game while everyone is hyping this as a ps3 halo. Anyways, its far too early for anyone to start this battle in the 360/PS3 console war.

Maybe they should drop a hint as to why anyone should care about this game.

Why would anyone trust Platinum Games to make a PS3 game? Why even say it's Platinum Games when they're probably just going to give it to Sega to develop?

as amazing as bayonetta was, and I think shinji mikami is one of the greatest creators in gaming with resident evil as my all time favourite series, this looks disappointingly generic. Im NOT writing it off, because hey, its platinum games and loved bayonetta and enjoyed mad world a lot, but I am sure I remembered ea saying they were working with shinji on a horror game. guess not
:(

@adamantium hip and everyone - Bayonetta was made by Hideki Kamiya and his 'team little angels(/devils in dmc)'
I havn't seen anything to say yet that this is being made by the same people.

@koehler83 - Platinum games had it's rep tarnished by work they didn't do(they even had to distance from it with a disclaimer), I highly doubt they'll hand over ps3 development to sega as lightly again.

Im pretty sure shinji mikami is in platinum, too- as a developer they have developed titles I have enjoyed, and shinji is my favourite developer of all time for resident evil, so i can have some faith.

Ever since Okami, wherever Platinum goes, I have followed.

Except, Bayonetta. I want none of that crap.

It'd be sweet if this was a 3rd person shooter like Jet Force Gemini. Otherwise, Clover/Platinum hasn't put out a bad game once, so I'm curious to see how they'll make an FPS work.

@Cadtalfryn

If you like everything Clover's done so far, there's no reason to exclude Bayonetta. It pretty much takes the best from everything they've done so far.
