We are only weeks away from the release of Sega's Iron Man game, set to hit shelves on May 2 to coincide with the release of the film. Sega has released a new batch of in-game screens, with most of them detailing the various suits Tony Stark can step in and out of throughout the course of the game.
Some are obvious, like the classic armor that Iron Man wore when he made his debut in Marvel's Tales of Suspense issue #48. Others are more surprising, like the "Hulkbuster" suit, designed specifically to take out that pesky Incredible Hulk. Does this hint at seeing the Hulk in the game? Hmmm ... Also shown are the fancy console exclusive suits, the Silver Centurian (Xbox 360) and the Ultimate (PlayStation 3).
If Hollywood is afraid that Grand Theft Auto IV will impact ticket sales for the Iron Man movie, what do they think of Sega's game? Will they cannibalize each other's sales? Maybe people will be so confused that they'll neither see the move nor purchase the game, and both Sega and Paramount Pictures will go bankrupt! Don't quote me on that.

but the movie should be epic..maybe not epic..but at least awesome
its not so much this game that has annoyed me (i reckon it will fail like every other movie tie in game) but soul calibur 4. WTF!?!?! why introduce vader and yoda and then not let them fight. its what everyone wants to see. even if its DLC later on it dosnt make it ok. it is just lazy. after the petition the other day about the bad company weapon dlc i think a stand needs to be made (by someone else, im rubbish and semi literate at best), a call to arms to stop this needless content exclusive tradeoffs.
the movie looks ace tho, gta or not im so there opening weekend.
When its 5£ in the bargain bin then i might give it a go.. till then

With that being said, I really hope the game is pretty decent,
and somewhat enjoyable.
I'm seeing the movie definitely opening night (With an Iron Man mask if I get my hands on it...)
As for the game itself,
while it looks pretty (really pretty, those suits look gorgeous),
it's probably a rental or a discount buy at best.
No, something can only cannibalize sales of another product in the same product line eg: 360 core vs 360 premium. In the case of GTA vs Iron Man it's just 2 products competing in overlapping market places.
Will Destructoid be reviewing Iron Man The Game or is it GTA IV only?
