See the massively multiplayer Need for Speed World in action

10:00 AM on 03.17.2010

This summer, EA is expanding the Need for Speed experience to tens of thousands of players with Need for Speed World, a PC-exclusive, free-to-play, microtransaction-funded MMO. When I saw it at a recent press event in New York City, producer Marc De Vellis hailed its game world as "the biggest Need for Speed arena ever." If that doesn't get you excited, then watch this trailer and see if it piques your interest.

All those dots you see on the map there? Yep, each one is a different player, and they'll all be driving around the game world at once -- when they're not taking part in a race event, that is. For all the details on Need for Speed World, check out my preview, which is going up in four hours. If you're already itching to try out the game, you can sign up for the current closed beta at the game's official Web site.

Mario Kart 8's first DLC pack has Link riding a horse-shaped bike called the Master Cycle. And, good lord, Mute City from the beloved but still dormant F-Zero series. Also, a track based on Excitebike with a killer remix. Are you even going to read this review? Don't answer that. Let me have this moment.more

Here is literally everything in the first Mario Kart 8 DLC pack

We've seen clips of the Mario Kart 8 DLC, but this new walkthrough video from Nintendo shows off everything in all its glory. All three characters (Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, Link), four vehicles (Blue Falcon, B Dasher, ...more
