This post might seem a tad conceited, but I don't think it can be helped.
Last night, I made my TV debut during a special EA Sports-centric show presented by GameTrailers TV, the "EA Sports Season Kickoff." It focused on the sports gaming giant's storied past, and provided information on many of this year's upcoming EA Sports games, including Madden NFL 11, NCAA Football 11, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 (with PlayStation Move support!) and EA Sports MMA. Spike asked me to come on and talk about EA Sports games, so I did! Thinking of the Podtoid listeners, I did my best to avoid saying "um" and "uh."
If you know me, you're aware that I wear glasses because, well, I can't see more than a few inches in front of my face without them. I don't have contacts, so I pretty much never take off my glasses. Unfortunately, they were messing with Spike's green screen, so I had to go without them. Don't I look weird without glasses? (Wait ... don't answer that.)
Now that I've popped my TV cherry, I just hope that my performance didn't scare away any potential future small-screen opportunities. I'd like to thank the folks at Spike for dealing with a first-timer so delicately (and for spelling "cachet" correctly -- props, you guys!). Enjoy the show, Dtoiders!
