The Mad Catz MLG Pro Circuit Controller is a really impressive accessory. I've been putting it to the test in many different types of games and it comes away looking like a champ every time. You can definitely tell that Mad Catz and the MLG worked hard on this.
This controller is unique as it lets you swap out controller modules to suit your style of play. For example, if you hate the indented Xbox 360 style analog sticks, pop them out and put in some of the PS3 style ones. It comes with multiple options, and verything from the weight to the face finish is customizable, as you'll see in the above video.
Look for our full review of the MLG Pro Circuit Controller next week.

Is it smaller then a 360 controller, or are your hands big? (sorry if the size was said in the vid, I can't listen to anything atm)
See, it looks smaller from the front, but it looks about the same from the back... Thing has a big ass, I guess.
I'd totally get one of these if it wasn't for the price... I'd even be quick to spend that much if they managed to get Microsoft to give up on their "3rd Parties can't do wireless" bit..
I also don't think I'd need all the pieces, so even a ala carte deal where you buy the main unit for a certain price then pick and choose only what you really need would be great.
Was really interested in picking up one of these controllers but man that $99 price tag has be holding off until they drop in price or there is a sale.
Realized I made it seem like I didn't know the deal with this.. What I meant by that last bit is that I wish they just let you buy the bare controller and pick and choose, instead of forcing a whole kit full of stuff (which obviously saddles a lot of the price) on you before you got to the picking and choosing.
Seems really interesting. Any idea if there will also be a wireless version? How about PC use (does it show up as a 360 controller? some games have issues, usually when they're GFWL).
"For example, if you hate the indented Xbox 360 style analog sticks, pop them out and put in some of the PS3 style ones."
No one prefers the PS3 convex sticks, concave all the way! ;D
Also, DAT PRICE! I'm fine with the default 360 controller and when I want to play on PS3 I'll just stick with my (Dtoid approved) Power A Air Flo controller which at $34.99, won't rape my wallet as much.
Holy fucking shit I need one of these for Soul Calibur V. I tried playing it on my stick, but it never felt as good to me as a controller. I bought a HORI Pad EX 2 and it stopped working in about 6 months. :(
I loved the Dpad, but it fell apart too quickly. All I've ever wanted in a fighting game controller is a SNES style dpad, just make the rest of the controller setup the same as a normal 360 controller. Thank god someone gets it!
Looks really great. Not quite perfect though. I wish you could swap the face buttons with the left analog, and the buttons should be microswitch, for faster response time. Overall it looks great though, looking forward to it.
This is an MLG controller made for the pro's. They wouldn't buy it if it was wireless. Most tournaments require wired controllers, and even if they didn't you wouldn't want wireless because there's always noticeable input lag. Making this controller wireless would be completely backwards.
I just want to own a 360 pad with a GREAT d-pad that won't break the bank. I mean, this a beautiful controller, but asking for $100 is too much. Any suggestions anyone?
The only thing i need to know about this game is how comfortable a dragon punch is... Would be great if you commented on how well it played Capcom-style fighters in your review. That way I can stop buying the graphically crappy ps3 versions of fighters. The framerate drops and jagginess of UMVC3 still hurt my heart :-( Would like to be able to buy the pretty version of SfxTekken!!

Looks cool, I'd be up for a wired controller as to be honest, I don't care for recharging. The pop-off covers maybe a concern though, how well are they attached, can they move with vigorous gaming?

a) wireless controllers
b) desperate for a PS3 layout on 360 (or 360 on PS3)
I would want to see how the D-Pad stacks up against the 360 controller with the flippable D-Pad.

Yeah, I'm petty like that.
Agreed... convex sticks suck, dualshock is just a crap contoller, besides the d pad...
Fingers tend to slip off convex sticks way too easily.
Likewise, if you hate using your penis to penetrate during sexual intercourse, pop it out and rub it on her/his kneecap instead.
Comment of the year.
Can you comment on the dead zones in your full review? Large dead zones are a common complaint among 3rd party controllers.

It is though. Any wired 360 controller works on PC. This is a wired 360 controller...
You can!
Major League Gaysex is the bee's knees, my dude.
Thanks! I read the article, but I probably should've watched the video before commenting haha. This is pretty bad ass, I might buy one of these.
I am most certainly NOT your dude! I do however accept your pet name as it sounds both pleasing and refreshing.
PS3 variant? Wru?
@Rammstein,
I do, so don't go speaking for everbody else. Turns out your opinion is just your opinion after all.
Most important question though. Can you change the X logo to the PS logo, otherwise the whole concept is flawed.
im definitely impress with Mad Catz.
even though Hori is still the best for Arcade Sticks, im definitely impress with their Controller line up.
definitely need more companies making controllers :P
The lack of the PS logo is understandable, but it bugs me. May get one if it goes on sale. Being able to switch out parts is super appealing.
