Section 8, Southpeak's sci-fi shooter that is blatantly better than Velvet Assassin, is being pushed back a week. I know you were all looking forward to playing it, as evidenced by the fact that every time I play the demo, nobody else is in the multiplayer, but you're going to have to learn to deal with it. Terrible, I know.
"The game is now being released on September 11, not September 4 due to a small delay in the manufacturing process," explains a rep for the company, fighting back the tears.
There's only one reason I took this, and it's because I believe a conspiracy is at play here. Velvet Assassin's release was pretty much akin to a major terrorist attack on North America. In fact, it was probably the worst atrocity committed in recent memory. Section 8 looks more promising, but it could all be a ruse. The fact that it's releasing on 9/11 now convinces me that a global devastation, far worse than Velvet Assassin, might be in the making.
Yes, Southpeak is Al Qaeda. Times ten.
And they can quote me on that for the back of the game's box.
[Update: This delay is UK only. So, the terrorists are finally closing in on Britain.]
...almost.
A fair few of my Steam friends list are on the Section 8 demo recently, so I don't know if it's just better on PC or something.
theres always people in multiplayer.
servers are laggy as hell though
Honestly, this looks groundbreaking.
Super sprint needs to be stolen from this game and used again and soon!
But it does have bots, so even people like me can play it competently enough.
But, DURNIT, another delay on another GFWL title. Orignally, this week was supposed to have been the Fallout DLC Disc 2, Red Faction Guerilla, and Section 8. Now, it is just the Fallout DLC Disc. But September looks strong for Games For Windows Live - we get FOUR titles, unless, they delay them all over again.
Your rigs out, what happened.
Also I haven't heard of this game till now.
Anyway, one week isn't a big deal. At least it's still coming out this year, which is more than I can say for a lot of games.
