I'm still not sure about this one. Anyone planning for sure to play this? Will there for sure BE people playing this?
The combo of both Subscription and Cashop has me extremely wary - that and the fact that EA is involved. We'll see, for now Guild Wars 2 has a LOT over The Secret World, and they look to be coming out about the same time.
Geese you think there giving enough away to pre-orders? I mean that cool and all but geese a 4 day head start I think is crap.
I looked on their website and it actually looks like pre-purchase not pre-order which means you plop down the 50 up front. I don't see how this game will have any kind of success with the MMO realm getting crowded. Plus, it's Funcom, which is about as bad as it gets.
$15/month, $50 for game, in-game shop, only $3 character slots with an additional $10 per extra character slot.
It's being made by the creator of Dreamfall so I'll definitely pre-order this because if nothing else I imagine I'll enjoy the free month(I believe It's a subscription based game) The art design is amazing and I've been looking forward to it since seeing this shot a while back

I was really dying to try this game out, but in releasing so close to gw2, which seems to offer so much more for the price paid, it's getting harder and harder to justify the buy.
And I'm glad EA has a hand in this to a degree if only because they can give it the funds/marketing push it needs to take off.
Since when is no levels and no classes a GOOD thing in a game? don't classes make it more interesting? how many characters can i make? are they all premade that I just saw or can we fully customize? The whole point of MMOs is customization like crazy

There are 500 skills in the game (many of them passive I'd imagine) that you can switch out and such. Full customization and you can have different load outs and such.

Looks great, don't know why the GW2 defense force is attacking this one. Can't wait to see how launch goes. I never buy into an MMO day 1, but this one has me tempted.
People are going to have a post-launch shit-fit over this game simply because EA's publishing it.. It won't be any different really then TOR, even if the game is COMPLETELY different then pretty much every MMO out there.
