Monolith isn’t done with F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. Earlier today the developer announced a second map pack for the game. Dubbed “Armored Front,” the pack will consist of two maps (Conductor, Decoy) and four “unique” character heads.
The downloadable content is slated to hit Xbox LIVE Marketplace and PlayStation Network May 12 for (an odd) 540 Microsoft Space Banana Dollars and $6.99 respectively.
If you’ve been counting -- and c’mon, who isn’t -- this is the second map pack. According to the press release, a third will hit “summer 2009.”
That’s a lot of content for a mode that seemed vastly under populated when the game was still fresh and clean. But, hey, good mothers always take care of their babies. Even if their baby isn’t popular. Or freaky.
You can view a trailer of the content as well as a short synopsis of the maps after the jump.
Conductor Map: "Push your way out of a train yard into the vast and open-ended junction station built around a turntable. EPAs will battle their way through the ground floor, as infantry can choose to either support from below or scale the heights of the station and engage in long-range combat."
Decoy Map: "Put your skill to the test in this full-scale training ground for Replica soldiers! Once a controlled arena for combat exercises, now it is under a full-blown assault for control between Replica and ATC. Watch out for ambushes, and don’t let the pop-up target dummies fool you!"
I never understood why Microsoft uses points for buying stuff on Xbox Live. Why not just use dollars? Converting points into money is kind of annoying.
@Chronic Logic
Because points aren't as tangible and lead to impulse buying. You're not spending $5, your spending 400 'points'
Furthermore points allow microsoft to set their own exchange rates outside of the states.
In addition to this theres the obvious mixed ratio issue, with games being priced at multiples of 400 and points only available in multiples of 500, which means on average your spending 25% more to purchase it.
and on top of all that, encouraging developers to use even stranger pricing models, such as 540 points, insures that most people will never quite be able to empty their account of points. This means microsoft is getting money for nothing. People love getting money for nothing.

I forgot this game came out.
The game is 540MSP for XBL and $7.00 for PSN..
80MSP = $1
80 x 7 = 560
Therefore, XBL price = $6.75

...
If 80MSP = $1
then
80MSP x 7 = $1 x 7 = 560MSP = $7.
I know space bucks can be a little confusing, but I have no idea where you came up with $6.75.
If you want to find price discrepancies, each DLC pack for Sonic Unleashed costs twelve and a half cents more on Xbox Live than its PS3 counterpart.

The MP was incredibly shit though.
560MSP = $7
540MSP = $6.75
Do the math. I did.
Hmm, I did read that as 560 somehow.
