Man these packs are terrible, there's like one game I want and a bunch of shit I'll never play.
And TF isn't worth it, its a console port through and through, you can't re-bind anything and it has no ingame chat client either.

War for Cybertron is worth it for that price. Yeah, it's a straight console port, but it's no worse than the console version. There are also hacks out there to fix the framerate cap and keybindings, I think. And afaik it has native 360 controller support, though I used kb/mouse personally.
Think of it this way- it's the same as the console game except it runs in higher resolution and it costs less. Hardly a bad deal.
And I only played single-player, but if you are a fan it's easily worth it for that alone.

Bundle 1 seems like a pretty good deal. Was it this same price during the summer sale? For some reason I thought it was even less.
Got Lone Survivor on it's own. None of the indie packs interest me... We should still support indie games thou!

Lone Survivor is now on my wishlist.
Although, as a survival horror game, it seems to be a swing and a miss. The pixel art is far too charming to be scary, even with spooky sound effects and sparse light.
And during my time with the demo when it came out, what seemed to be an attempt at horror made me actually laugh with the way the protagonist's idle animations are. He's just like "Hmph, lalala, welp....".
Although, as a survival horror game, it seems to be a swing and a miss. The pixel art is far too charming to be scary, even with spooky sound effects and sparse light.

Why should I play Lone Survivor when it looks like the ugliest indie game of all? I'm halfway through Humble Bundle 8 and already regret getting it.

I consider myself quite the aficionado of the genre, and in my opinion he gets what makes those games work. I found it to be much more proficient at building tension (this is where games like dead space and re fall flat in my opinion) than modern takes on the genre. Admittedly it eventually falls into the trap of allowing you access to enough ammo to dispatch everything, which dissipates some of the tension. However, everything has consequences in this game, which is something to keep in mind while playing.

Yeah I'm waiting for lone survivor to drop on it's own. None of the other games really jump out at me unless pople have strong arguments fir them I don't know about.

no you mongoloid. A game you already own is simply that, and nothing more. Fluff would imply the game is lacking in quality, content, or any appreciable depth, not simply ownership of it.... And how would you know I'm an angry person, because I called you a fucking idiot?
In terms of the pack, yeah, it's fluff that for me is unnecessary for purchase just to get a single game. The fact that you take someone calling a set of two games "fluff" without even knowing the context and then blaming that person for not giving it to you makes you seem extremely angry and overly-sensitive to shit that doesn't even matter.
