So... You pay 30$ for four discounts? I really hope I read that wrong because that sounds very EA-ish.

LIVE subscription expiring, won't be renewing so this isn't for me. Ah well, Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3 and MW3 is more than I need for my shooter multiplayers anyway. I look forward to the Gears of War 3 campaign though.
I would like a better understanding of what I would be getting for that $30 before making a commitment.
Seeing as how I'm %90 sure I'll be getting all the DLC for Gears 3, it will definitely benefit me in the long run. Though, I think I'll wait until November to purchase it.
The wording on the announcement is a little odd, but I'm pretty sure it means you'll be getting $40 of DLC for $30. The only downside is not knowing exactly what will be included in the 4 DLC packs mentioned.

That's a fuckload of money. I might have to wait until they bundle 'em all together like they did with Gears 2. Managed to get like 20 maps plus the campaign expansion for $10 on sale that way.

That's a hell of a commitment, 90% of that dlc could be ass and you wouldn't know till its too late.
2400MP?? If they bother to tell what in the name of Mod are we paying for. And probably not even then, because, 30$ for maybe 1 or 2 decent DLCs is a damn ripoff
@Black Nexus The Gears 2 DLC was pretty good. I feel more comfortable with this than I did with LA Noire's season pass.

30 bucks!! For discounted DLC for one game!!! I don't care what game it is that ain't right. That's almost half the cost of a PSN+ subscription.
This isn't actually that bad since, you basically end up getting one DLC free. Honestly anyone bitching can gtfo since this is actually pretty god damn cheap for what will probably be 4 map packs.
I don't like this trend. Pre-selling DLC that no one has a CLUE about the content of is an invitation for developers to be lazy. Games where ALL the DLC is worth the money are few and far between.
Personally, I'm very selective when it comes to DLC. I read the reviews, and if the majority says it sucks, then I don't buy it until it's deeply discounted. That's what I did with Fallout: New Vegas, and I'm glad I did, because I would have been exceedingly depressed if I had paid full price for Honest Hearts. The same with Borderlands, Fallout 3, and any number of other games.

I would have got All Fronts for 400 banana dollars but my region was restricted. Epic wanted me to buy them all individually and now with Gears 3 just around the corner, its not worth buying.

with this deal you save $10 in the end if all downloads are 1200 MS points. If the dlc is 800 points you lose $2
to put it quite simply, dlc is getting out of hand with prices. the fact that you need to spend $30-40 for the complete experience is ludicrous. $20 is the highest i could go for total map costs, anything more and it's just gouging the consumers.
I actually don't think this is a bad idea. Black Ops map packs were 1200 MS points each, and there were 4 of them. At least with these ones you are getting the option of buying all and saving money.
