All is right in the world of Destructoid.
Good deal for someone who bought all the DLC for Gears 1 and 2 and plans to continue the trend.
Anyway, I doubt I'll buy this, I rarely played the first two games online, as good as they were, a part of me can't justify paying essentially 90 dollars on one game.
However another part of me is giving off a tingling sensation at the base of my penis, and I want to share this game with my friends, who well most likely buy this, So I well probably buy the first one or two dlc packs, just not all 4.
God dammit.
That's a fuckload of money. I might have to wait until they bundle 'em all together like they did with Gears 2. Managed to get like 20 maps plus the campaign expansion for $10 on sale that way.
Still, it is a lot of money to be putting up for DLC you've got no info on.
Personally, I'm very selective when it comes to DLC. I read the reviews, and if the majority says it sucks, then I don't buy it until it's deeply discounted. That's what I did with Fallout: New Vegas, and I'm glad I did, because I would have been exceedingly depressed if I had paid full price for Honest Hearts. The same with Borderlands, Fallout 3, and any number of other games.
As for this, that is awful unless they have some substantial expansions on the way. And if this means that they end the campaign on a cliffhanger or something awful than I will just wait for a sale.
Doing the math, the four DLC packs to be released should cost around $45 retail for the advertised price to be a 33% discount at $30. Seeing as how I can't even play Gears 2 online without my game freezing at the starting screen I don't think I would even consider this.
I do love my Gears campaign action, but I disagree wholeheartedly with this kind of business dealings. I am coming even closer to NOT buying Gears 3 on Day 1 or even new just to voice my singular opinion.
EFFIN A!! THAT'S NOT COOL, BRO!!!!!!
