Seagulls are obnoxious: Burnout 'Big Surf' DLC hits June 11 photo

Criterion Games has just released the first trailer for the long-awaited Burnout Paradise downloadable content, “Big Surf Island,” which hits Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on June 11.

Based on what I’m seeing here, if you were to tell me that this is an entirely new Burnout game, I’d believe it. But it’s not -- it’s just some sick-looking DLC.

In addition to an entirely new area, the pack will feature nine new vehicles, including the Carson Dust Storm buggy featured in the trailer. “Big Surf” also comes with new events, new Freeburn Challenges, and the promise of the biggest jumps ever, like one through an enormous chocolate and spinkles donut. (Yes, I’m hungry.)

No word on pricing at this time, but seagulls being the most obnoxious birds ever is pretty much confirmed by the trailer after the jump. Plenty of info about the DLC at Criterion Games' Web site.

It's a dead heat with Harmonix for that particular award, but yeah - FUCKING AWESOME.

What's wrong with the cars? They keep on twisting and turning all weird when they jump off a ramp! This is outrageous!

On a completely unrelated note, I could go for a spudnut.

what ever happened to games like RUSH 2049? i miss those types of racing games. or the old NFS games(2,and hot pursuit)
im sick of open world crap.
i want high speed racing on tracks with huge loops and corkscrews and ramps that jump gaps 2 miles long and you can do stunts in the air at any time and if you were good enough land with out crashing to get points.

man that game was awesome.

Really all this DLC is making Burnout Paradise a must own.

Paradise will never be a must own until they fix car checking to be like it used to be and/or add split screen.

@Shirley Temple

Yeah, the lack of splitscreen sucks, but at least they added Party Mode. I just wish it was free DLC. Out of all the stuff they've released for Burnout Paradise, the one thing I wish I could have gotten for free is Party Mode.
