Seadelphica has a dolphin with machine guns, uses Tumblr photo

A black dolphin lives in every one of us. The dolphin represents our soul as a comic creature, and Seadelphica explores how closely our souls and high technology are connected. It also looks like a mindf*ck. Seriously -- you have to watch this video.

Seadelphica is a runner and a "spiritual development simulator" that helps you find your spiritual love by scanning your Tumblr stream to "reprogram the universe," with the ultimate goal of becoming the black dolphin. Its creator is looking for like-minded friends that will also be financial supports via Kickstarter.

The whole Kickstarter is a trip, from its video message to the game's story, and from its animated GIFs that sparkle to its crazy screenshots. Here's a quote:

Lil It, an immortal alien creature with a fish-like body, mitochondrial mother of humankind, was elected to be the only and sole sovereign of Panoptika. She consolidated almost absolute power over the new world in her hands. She managed to embed a virus into the “Oversense” and put it on the verge of destructions. The Black dolphin's mission is to save the consciousness web, to which he's connected by a cosmic Wi-Fi.

I love how they plan to integrate a player's Tumblr feed, as well as the like and re-blog features. Tumblr content will be translated into in-game "soul screens" that convey people's souls.

Seadelphica is shooting for $50,000 before March 20, with planned releases for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.

Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is out today, and it kicks the crap out of All the Bravest

Final Fantasy: All the Bravest was a travesty. It played itself, it was pretty abrasive in its pandering, and the microtransactions were so pushy that it was hard to enjoy it without feeling like you were constantly being sold something. Final Fantasy: Record Keeper is another free-to-play game in the same vein, but it's a much better effort that doesn't feel straight-up insulting to fans.more

Review: Jump'N'Shoot Attack

Four Christmases ago, I joined the smartphone brigade when I found an iPhone 4S nestled under the tree. Oh boy! I thought. Now I can grab all those iOS games that people can't shut up about! And for a couple of years, I was a...more

Review: Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series: The Sword in the Darkness

Telltale seems to be getting into the swing of things with Game of Thrones, in more ways than one. For starters, it only took seven weeks since the last episode for this one to come out. If Telltale can keep up that pace, the...more
