SDCC: Mad Catz showing off TvC: UA Fight Sticks photo

Mad Catz brought more than a batch of uber-Limited Edition Fight Sticks and Fight Pads to Comic-Con. A recent posting on Capcom’s community blog has shown us that Mad Catz is serious about this fighting game peripheral thing. In the header above is a (blurry) shot of Mad Catz’ Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars mock up Fight Stick for the Wii, which is being shown at Comic-Con.

The official line is that these puppies are “SFIV tested” and created based on fan feedback. From looks alone, we’re thinking that the peripherals are art-swapped Standard Edition Fight Sticks. That’s not a terrible thing if the followed fan feedback incorporated tweaks to the joystick and the notoriously jank buttons.

If those things are fixed, watch out: this stick should be the cat's butt. And that's opposed to a dog's butt, which is totally gross and unrefined.

A stick made for a Wii exclusive is SFIV tested? And is that a "Home" logo in the top left?

Uh...?

That looks hot but mostly because of the prominent Gatchaman love! <3

I really don't care about the sticks, but I REALLY hope they make fight pads for the Wii. I think the classic controller's Dpad is too small and the buttons are weird. And hopefully its wired! or just hooks into the wii mote, because the madcatz wireless technology is shit.

Looks nice, but I wish it had Karas, Casshern, Alex, Batsu, and Mega Man Volnutt on there instead.

Hmmm. This would be awesome if it came with the game in some sort of limited edition. Then it would be one of the few games that gets the "Release date buy" from me a feat which was only managed before by Pokemon and Pikmin games.

What Dan said.
And Jesus, these were the SE4 SE fightsticks, just relabeled and re-pcb'd and the wiimote has a home button!

That's some sexy art. I would absolutely buy a gamepad of that. Nevermind that wouldn't plug into the USB port or even the Gamecube port, but into the Wii Remote for no reason.

It's, blue, not as eye catching as red.

This looks mint, but i shudder to think what it will cost and what the hell you're going to use it for apart from TvC, there's not exactly an abundance of fighters on Wii.

Also, Science begs to differ., Blue is more eye catching than red. In fact it's the last colour to disappears in your field of vision.

Couldn't care less about the stock buttons. The biggest draw of the SE stick is that it is really easy to replace everything with Sanwa or Seimitsu parts, unlike the Hori Wii stick which will require physical modification.
