Cosplay pictures. It's what you do at these things. Sure, there's games and comics and movies and celebrities, but you have to do the cosplay photo collection sometime. We've put together a gallery for you featuring some of the better ones we've come across so far, with help from our friend Flynn De Marco.
There's not as much game-related stuff as I hoped there would be, but what can you do? What we have seen is fantastic, but they're beat out by the comic and anime/manga stuff. Naturally, G.I. Joe is huge this weekend, as is Batman. Of course, there's always Star Wars and Superman stuff. I saw the hottest Supergirl yesterday. For the time, a picture would not have been appropriate. I'll see what I can do.
Mind you that the weekend is still young, and that the best stuff happens on Saturday. Look for more photos throughout the weekend here on Destructoid as well as on Japanator.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Also, I am ignorant, please help me:
Who is the person in the white outfit with the orange hair, headphones, and boots?
It's one of the coolest costumes I've ever seen but I have no idea what character it is.
I found the sexy.
SDCC needs more Dr. Mrs. The Monarch.
Anyway, the event looks like it was a lot of fun. Makes me want to go to some conventions over here in Europe!
Laughter is human(even when directed at other humans - see: comedians). Not that you directed that at me, but I think that even these folks understand that someone might find their cosplay humerous and that they may not represent the pinicale of "real life" interpretations of the characters they seek to emulate. Calling us losers for poking good humored fun at cosplay is an example of "you" throwing the first stone.
Sorry, just saw someone refer to them as losers. So I can’t speak for that individual, but what I wrote remains the same for myself. I doubt cosplay fans are thinned skinned. Not taking themselves too seriously seems to come with the territory.
Also: Humorous and pinnacle – spelling has never been a forte of mine. Guess I’m a “spelling loser”. :P

Don't worry about it. I should have made it clear that my comment was referring to Nitex. I certainly agree with you that most Cosplayers don't take themselves seriously, the ones I've met certainly don't. I too think that Bill's beard is rather funny looking.
I just get mad when I see gamers calling others 'losers' for doing something they enjoy. Especially as I remember well how annoying it was whenever us gamers got called 'losers' by the media, not so long ago.
Agreed. You assholes need to stop being such shallow fucks. "Fat"? "Lard"? Go fuck yourselves. You want to keep chasing the empty-headed Olivia Munn dream, you go right ahead. The rest of us will settle down with someone who's worthwhile.
