IndieGameStand is at it again with another deal I can't help but help spread around. For the next few days, Tiger Style's sidescrolling adventure game Waking Mars can be bought for as low as $1. Pay at least the minimum to get redeemable keys for GOG.com, Steam, and Desura.

Chip in more than the average amount -- still pocket change, I might add -- for posters, wallpapers, and the original soundtrack. Having only recently played through Waking Mars and greatly enjoyed the experience, this is an easy recommendation to make.

If spreading seedlings throughout the caves of Mars without being forced into combat sounds like a good time, consider downloading it.

I played a bunch of bizarre first-person shooters so you don't have to

You remember Superhot, don't you? It's a first-person shooter in which time progresses at a normal speed only when you move. Or how about Receiver? It had somewhat realistic gun handling that made for a rewarding experience. ...more

The Blue Flamingo is a ridiculously adorable shmup

Swedish game studio Might and Delight really knows how to make games that stand out visually. Its attractive-looking paper art style on the Shelter series is, in my mind, unmistakable. I can recognize the stud...more
