We can all agree that Scribblenauts is awesome. 5TH Cell is one of my favorite developers, and it makes me emotional to see so many people paying attention to the developer in the weeks following E3. Scribblenauts has generated a huge amount of buzz with its unique concept and ambitious promise of allowing you to bring literally anything you can think of to life.
Following E3, a particular forum post was made and then passed around the Internet as the ultimate pinnacle of Scribblenauts' brilliance, It became something of a meme, mostly due to how over-the-top it was. It went a little something like this:
"I clicked one, and realized I could RIDE THEM. So I hopped on a f*cking DINOSAUR, traveled back to the present, and stomped the shit out of robot zombies. Did you just read that sentence? Did you really? I F*CKING TRAVELED THROUGH TIME AND JUMPED ON A DINOSAUR AND USED IT TO KILL MOTHERF*CKING ROBOT ZOMBIES."
This forum post (Post 217 in a thread on NeoGAF) has become so well-known that Scribblenauts artist Edison Yan drew the above picture himself, officially commemorating the heroic tale of dinosaurs versus robot zombies. How awesome is that? Apparently, NeoGAF is an in-game item in and of itself. I heard you could defeat enemies with it by claiming you know everything about the game industry and that all gaming blogs are crap. It is a powerful tool, ironically full of tools.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
*girlish squeel of unbridled excitement*
Also, I've pre-ordered the game as of yesterday.
Do. Want.
Day one Purchase anyway, I bought Drawn to life because I was bored and it looked quirky.
I'm totally pre-ordering this. Probably would make a good present for my mum too.
Kingdom of Loathing has already beaten you to the punch (Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot familiar). :D
This is a definite game I'm getting. ...er, a game I'm definitely getting. That's it.
This is my new favorite picture!
Everything I've seen (Wikipedia and asking the GameStop dude) puts it somewhere around mid to late September. I don't think there's been an official release announcement though.
It'd be a really nice surprise to do that tonight and forget about the game until September...
It would be really nice to pre-order the game tonight and ender cryo-sleep until September
If I'm any barometer, the DS gets tons of respect! Even it's obscure RPGs/SRPGs are met with gusto: see Knights in the Nightmare. Holmes and Chad also do a nice job with praise in particular.
This picture needs to be my wallpaper.

Fuck this game.
Sorry, but "torch" is in the game. Yes, it is a fire on a stick and it is in Scribblenauts. They also give you a torch (light) option which looks like a flashlight. The torch (fire) can be used to set things on fire.
Scribblenauts handles torch just fine and I hope that fact makes you feel better.
There's no copyrighted objects in the game, so that won't work. (And the real definition of "Persona" is a concept, not an object, so that wouldn't work either.)
Most Persona's are merely mythological deities though, so you'd likely be able to summon most of the more notable ones anyway.
It's on DS.. can't expect magic
I'm also going to only wrap the first world, so as to enjoy the last 10. The game has a surprising amount of content, and I enjoy the creativity it tries to get you to embrace, at the very least.
I never knew I could catch a butterfly using a freeze ray, but now I can.
