If you are one of those people notorious for typing "TL;DR" or "WALL OF TEXT" in the comments of blog posts, yet still feel the need to know what's going on in the gaming universe, ScrewAttack may have solved your problem permanently: how does a high-speed dose of hard-hitting news clocking in at under two minutes sound to you? It may last longer than your last roll in the hay...if you're lucky.

Not only does Hard News premiere today, but it can be seen from now on at 7PM Eastern/6PM Central on ScrewAttack.com. If that isn't enough for you, you may want to come to see a familiar face: I'll be appearing on the show soon as a guest on a regular basis to give my take on current news, Destructoid-style. This may mean swearing or words that may offend your mother, so you may want to save it for when you aren't under the watchful eyes of coworkers.

Dallas, Texas – ScrewAttack Entertainment LLC, home of the most downloaded video game entertainment programs on the Internet, today premiered its much anticipated news program, Hard News. The daily program is not only a first for ScrewAttack, but is the first program of its kind available on the Internet.

Hard News focuses on the most important gaming industry news gamers care about. Originally a segment on the popular ScrewAttack podcast SideScrollers, Hard News
makes its formal premiere this evening on ScrewAttack.com as a stand-alone program.

Presented as a series of news briefs, Hard News anchor Destin Legarie spotlights the
latest information in the gaming world, with classic ScrewAttack attitude. “We bring you the news, ScrewAttack style,” said Legarie.

In addition to bringing gamers the latest breaking gaming news, Hard News will feature several weekly segments, including Cheapy D of CheapAssGamer.com, granting Hard News viewers exclusive access to the best gaming deals of the week; Colette of Destructoid.com, giving her unique perspective on recent events in the gaming industry; and investigative reporting by ScrewAttack’s own Maxifent Corey, taking an expanded look into some of the top stories in the gaming world. “Hard News will make the traditional media rethink how they bring the news to gamers,”said Craig Skistimas, Program Director of ScrewAttack Entertainment.

Hard News premieres tonight, and can be seen every weeknight at 7PM EST/6PM CST
exclusively at ScrewAttack.com. To view the premiere edition of Hard News, please

Can I get a "meh" up in here? I agree a bit with Reprar over there, even if he's a huge prick.

p.s. colette, i'm not mad at you.

Wow, that guy sucked, I couldn't even tell if he was calling himself Dustin or Destine thanks to his lisp. I will not be watching any more. They need a better person to do it. Colette I demand that you take over the entire show.

Glad to hear there will be less children on the site at least. Starting to think Craig only wants to surround himself with High School students.

The guy was a little stiff but I thought some of the things he said were hilarious.

Yeah, they dont really have the angry video game nerd anymore, so i really do not go to their site anymore. I'll watch, but if Craig comes and douches it up, I might have to bail. Colette bring Chad to balance out Craig's maxed out douche ability (300/300).

Make sure you let us know somehow (maybe just a little reminder on the sidebar) when you'll be on it. I wouldn't want to waste two minutes on something that doesn't involve Colette Bennett.

Exactly Nihon. Surely they could have gotten someone else to do it? Why not use Craig? This guy doesn't seem into it at all and almost seems a tad timid.

Sadly, this comes on the heels of everyone hating ScrewAttack for ditching that one guy (I don't care enough to remember which is which) and generally sucking, anymore.

But for CheapyD and you, Colette? Anything. :) Keep us up-to-date on it in your c-blog, pleeeeeease.

uh....I saw no Collette. Why are such tricks played on us?

please...PLEASE tell us when you guys are involved. As that's the only reason i'll watch. The guy was too uh...hm..boring? No emphasis on his jokes which basically killed what could've been ok.

Btw Jim, your audition tape was really too high for Screwattack's standards. There wasn't enough ball punching, swearing, or console humping in it to be acceptable.

Screwattack tries too hard. They strive to put out content but most of it needs a lot more polish before its ready for public consumption and they end up giving themselves a black eye. Plus it seems they drive away or lose all their talent (not just handsome tom).

They're struggling a bit in my eyes; Maybe Collette and Cheapy can give them some structure and a boost in production value. Otherwise I don't see this show going all that well.

Reading these comments makes me see that people are still taking the "Big Screwattack Breakup" with a grain of salt.

All that aside, though, I think it's an interesting turn for Screwattack and I think only time will tell as to whether or not it becomes truly successful. Destin in my opinion did a good job; I'm sure he'll come along more as Hard News continues, and I think with Colette on board this will be good for both sides.
