From what little we've heard so far this is sounding to be a generic MMO selling on the the Elder Scrolls name.
Why is there a fucking skill bar? Is it possible to (just once) think outside this MMO box? Has anyone that has worked on an MMO in the last decade ever even played PSO? Give me more of that! No more skill bars and no more pseudo turn-based nonsense. It's time to evolve, guys.

TERA has a skillbar, but combat is handled basically like PSO -- but better, with more dodging/blocking.
GW2 is changing a lot of those same conventions in terms of storytelling/questing. Hopefully elements from both of these games will help pave the way for MMOs in the future.

So it basically like a watered down Elder Scrolls game, with the only thing going for it is the name and the fact it's an MMO. Welp, there goes any interest I had in the game.
I love the Elder Scroll series. It's been a bit rocky though. Arena and Daggerfall really sucked me in, but Morrowind and Oblivion got boring real fast. Skyrim pulled me back in and I'm looking forward to the upcoming DLC. But an MMO? No thanks. It's not even being done by Bethesda proper. Zenimax are the ones doing it.

Yep, looks like they've ruined everything. That's really disappointing. Too bad it's been in development so long or maybe they'd use the criticism to craft a game that people are actually interested in.

I died on a little when I read that it's just another WoW clone. They could have done something great with this..
This is almost as bad an idea as the Staker-esque MMO. It's like these developers don't get what makes their own games good.
Stories like this make me laugh at the print industry (then cry a little that its dying)
As for the stuff in the link sources - Doesn't really excite me. I wasn't expecting amazingly dazzling things that claimed to change the world forever, but it didn't even tickle me in the places I show my therapist on the doll she gives me.

I got about 20 points into the Neo thread and gave up, this does not interest me at all and I am a huge TES fan and an MMO player.
Oh,bother. It looks as if my interest in playing a MMORPG is dead again, this time, it might have been outright decapitated, preventing reanimaton by even the most skillful of necromancer. Then again, it may yet be holding on by a strand of skin.

Is it really so hard to make an MMO using the classic Elder Scrolls style? 1st person and no skill bar...apparently so because we won't be getting that here. Was so excited yesterday when I first saw the article, but now I'm just pissed that it exists.
Third person?... god, if it dosnīt have first person this is already ruined, the whole reason i wanted an elder scrolls mmo was because of the gameplay T_T
Dammit, where's that feature for using Kinect voice narration to control the events of the story?! I was really looking forward to that after watching the debut trailer!
