Okay, so maybe the soundtrack for Brütal Legendleaked a bit early. But for its official reveal, Double Fine and Electronic Arts rock it hard... by having designer Tim Schafer solve a Rubik's Cube.
Huh? Sure. Why not?
Apparently some kind of Rubik's Cube savant, Schafer races against someone reading the list of songs that will appear on the game's soundtrack when it ships in Rocktober. Granted, there's more than 100 songs -- and the reader stumbles once or twice -- but damned if Tim doesn't kill it. I usually just take off all of the stickers, and then put them back on.
The video is after the jump, as is the full soundtrack listing... again. Also, what's up with all this Rubik's Cube love?

Holy crap, Motorhead songs in a game and no The Ace of Spades?? Haha, amazing, yay! Wonderful soundtrack, they obviously put a lot of effort into covering a broad spectrum of metal and not just the typical 70's era stuff and 80's Hair Metal, Cock Rock etc. that has been repopularized by Guitar Hero. Much respect for that
wtf, i just realize where i recognized Tim Schafer from -- anybody ever seen the youtube video by derrickcomedy called "Bro Rape: A Newsline Investigative Report"?

at 3:07, tell me that isn't him.
Its not a bad list, but I was expecting something a little more... you know... Brutal. Why didnt they include something a little heavier? Some good old school death thrash or death metal instead of trendy crap like mastodon, dragonforce or cradle of filth.
Wow! I was expecting a list of about 10-15 songs. Not only is this list massive ,its also chock full great well known metal and alot of not so well known metal. Cant wait!
I'm really looking forward to this game, and I've always liked metal, but I am ashamed to say I only recognize about half the bands on that list. Am I unworthy of playing Brutal Legend?
It doesn't take a savant to solve a Rubik's Cube in four minutes. I'm out of practice and I can still do it in under two. When I was at my best I could do it in just under a minute. Really good cube solvers can do it in under like, twenty seconds.
@Dexter345 Yeah but can you do that and make awesome video games? ;) There was this 10-12 year old kid that would come into our store and have us mix up a rubik's cube then he would solve it in usually under 40 sec. Ive heard the trick is to get the corners first, but I could be wrong.
A week ago, the Humble Double Fine Bundle was announced. For some, it was easy to resist; though the games on the list range from decent to great, fans of the studio already owned most, if not all of the titles. Of course th...
