Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

Sony’s wonderfully cute puzzle platformer, LittleBigPlanet, is still many months away from release, so it hasn’t yet been rated by the ESRB. But from everything we’ve seen, all indications point to the game receiving an ‘E’ rating; it looks like it will truly appeal to all kinds of people, be they hardcore gamers, casual gamers, or non-gamers.

But up above is a newly-released trailer for LittleBigPlanet that, strangely, features an age gate — something that’s typically reserved for games like Age of Conan or Grand Theft Auto. What could possibly be behind the Internet fixture that can be easily defeated by an eight-year-old? Perhaps it’s some “LittleBigPorn”, as Jim so elegantly put it.

Well, I’m not going to ruin the surprise (even though the GameVideos freeze-frame pretty much gives it away). See for yourself — if you’re at least 18 years old, that is.

I can't wait for October to come around. This game looks friggin' AWESOME.

I can also see Ratchet and Clank skins for this too.

I still don't get why it has an age gate. Because of the Killzone skins? But they didn't even kill any zones or enter any zones where there would be killing!

The age is stupid, but the game on the other hand looks crazy.

Wow, i am actually excited for this game now. I hadn't seen videos since the early stuff. What worries me is whether there is enough real game there. Building stuff is fun but i don't want to have to develop ALL the levels. I don't find it that fun playing through stuff i created myself.

Aren't there supposed to be 60 levels included?
Definitely going to make a PS3 very tempting.

The first level I'm going to make is an original Super Mario Bro.s level. Then some mario skins, etc...

@TheToiletDuck, it comes with premade levels, and you can play other people's levels that are posted online, then rate it, and see how good you are at making a level everyone loves.
Sound like fun?

What age do they require you to be to view this shocking content, five?

This game is probably the main reason I'd be interested in a PS3. Maybe one of my friends will pick one up.

Killzone skins were cool, but that song, "Atlas," by Battles, made me really interested. The game looks interesting but I want to try it before I buy it.

This was really a fresh breath compared to all the older videos.

@ JynxShot : ANYTHING done to Battles music should get people interested. It just draws the ears as much as the visualsdraw the eyes.

I really want this game now. I still don't understand why it had the age gate on it, nothing more than some E, maybe E10+ violence.
