Scamco strikes again: Magnacarta 2 DLC is already out photo

That's right, folks. RPG sequel Magnacarta 2 has only just released, and Namco Bandai has made sure to "support" it with meaningless downloadable content, as is the publisher's modus operandi. The new DLC includes weapons and -- wait for it -- cutscenes. Yes, you can download cutscenes.

For 400 Microsoft Points, you can download a "Bonus Pack" that includes three comedy cutscenes and twelve weapons for the game's six main characters. If you think that's a crap deal, be glad you don't live in Japan, where Namco is selling the cutscenes separately for 320 Points apiece. Two of the weapons are also separate downloads, again costing 320 Points.

Namco Bandai is the king of bad DLC. Tales of Vesperia had in-game gold and level ups for sale, and the publisher is famous for selling on-the-disc content like unlockable costumes and characters in SoulCalibur IV. One can expect that Magnacarta 2 will follow the same path, so expect even more bullsh*t DLC for this game in the future.

Seriously, it's getting to the point where I'm wondering why anybody would buy a Namco Bandai game in good faith.

Here's the question Jim: are they unlocks?

I'm also surprised you didn't mention the worst DLC of all time in your Namco-Bandai recap: Katamari Forever's few kilobyte level unlock codes.

It's only a matter of time before Scamco-Baddy accidently release DLC ahead of a games actual release.
As for cutscenes, hah, let that be a lesson for all of those people wanting their damned deep storylines in games. GET yo' narratives outta mah game.

Also, in the header pic, the girls eyes and boobs are the only things glistening in a light reflecting off of fluid manner. The eyes I understand, but why is there fluid on her chest? Sweat? Oil? -----?

I was reading some forums on Magna Carta 2 and I kinda felt guilty for not buying it. Now I don't.

The sad part is they'll probably make some profit off of that DLC, because it couldn't have cost shit to make compared to other DLC on the market.

Here I've read decent reviews about it and was considering picking it up, but now I'm leaning more towards not giving my cash to a company that pulls this kind of crap.

thats why I don't buy Namco Bandai games until they cost $20.

also 84 mb is a bit on the small side for 3 fmv cutscenes and 12 weapons isn't it? this can't be code reworks.

Any game with more DLC than sense should debut at $40, period. That's $40 CAD, AUD, USD, NZD & etc...

The weapons are gamebreaking.. I... yes sadly.. downloaded it just cause I'm a RPG fanatic. In any case, if you want to use the weapons, wait for the new game plus... damn, can kill bosses in just a few hits early on.

From what I hear this has been going on in the movie industry. They release these two version of a movie, one being so called as a "directors cut" and it has a few scenes, but costs like FIVE MORE DOLLARS. I like the movie, but knowing at release I am getting screwed by buying the normal edition over the other just burns me so bad!!! All Im trying to say is dont like it? Dont buy it. (I will however say that the katamari thing is BS)

I'll tell you why people buy this shit Jim: ACHIEVEMENTS. Okay, there's 250 extra points for some good laughs (cut scenes) and some grinding. I don't see a problem with this, I'm dling right now.

Why does microsoft even allow this? this is just a bad way to treat your customers. I've ranted about DLC recently in other threads, but this kind of thing is beyond that. I am sick of paying to buy a game, and earning the privilege to pay for the rest of the game.

It should be noted that the game came out awhile back in Japan and this is a bundle of the Jap DLC. In Japan, this was seperated into over 4 packs for 320 microsoft points each compared to the 1 pack for the US for 400 MSP.
