Following Tuesday's news of TimeSplitters and Haze developer Free Radical being picked up by Crytek, it's now been confirmed that the studio has seen a name change. From this point forward, we will all have to refer to Free Radical as Crytek UK. On the acquisition, Crytek boss Avni Yerli had this to say: "The combination of this team, the Crytek network and our CryENGINE technology will be a foundation for outstanding gaming experiences and a magnet for the best talent in the UK." So, TimeSplitters 4 with a Crysis-like level of graphics, confirmed? Personally, I'm really going to miss seeing the name "Free Radical." It had a certain ring to it, y'know what I mean? [Via VG247]
